autometer makes one that has just the shift light. you have to buy some thing called a "pill." that "pill" tells the shift light when to light up and at what RPM. but the price of just the shift light isnt worth it, if you throw in a couple more bucks then you can get a whole tach with a light

heres mine ... just like installing a tach... but its kind of a pain for a first timer (to import cars), I tried tying into the computer itself... didnt work so I had to go to the tach/test lead (blue wire) near the passenger side headlight.. then it worked,

heres a link to where I got mine from

the best thing to do is get one from www.summitracing.com and get the auto meter one for like $50 bucks or something and just hook it up to the test tach by the battery (blue wire) and it has a turn dial on back to set the rpm and it will light up when u hit that rmp

nuff sed

^ sorry but he doenst know what he is saying... autometer makes one that takes pills, and one that you can hook up to an RPM activated switch (seperate unit at extra cost) they do not make a stand alone unit for 50 bucks!, believe me, if they did.... I WOULD OWN IT !

*as a note, I did get my shift light from summit, only because I got a gift card for my birthday... given the choice I would NEVER! deal with summit, I have experienced much better customer service and pricing on the average with www.jegs.com
