10-17 DFW Meet
Since that last thread is already buried thought I'd put up a new one.
Here's the details:
When: Friday, October 17 @ 8:00
Where: Meet up at Main Event in Lewisville off I-35E & Corporate
From there we will go up to the I-35 Speedway at I-35 and exit 473 in Denton
What to bring: It's $10 to get into the track, and that includes unlimited runs. However much you feel like spending at Main Event, they've got video games, bowling, laser tag, all that stuff.
The gates at Denton open at 10:30 and they close at 3:00, so there's plenty of time to get runs in.
Post here if you plan on going.

I am down with main event, but like juscallmetoyota, I don't race. Hey can you see if Main Event will hold some parking space for all of us, so that we can all park in like a line? That would be a badass site!

It won't be any problem getting parking at Main Event, last time I was at that one it wasn't that busy, and they've got plenty of it, so that's cool.
And you guys that don't race, you should come up there anyways. It's fun just seeing the other cars and everything. We were out there one night and the RX-7.com car was out there, ran like a 4.8. And there's always plenty of blown mustangs and just fun stuff to watch.
So you in Jonathon?

aight yah guys probably will kill for saying this, but I just curious, do yah think it might be better to move it to the 18th (saturday) during the afternoon. That way we can check out everyone elses ride, and it would could get some light for those who are bringing cameras?? Just a thought.

DRJ, Tai, justcallmetoyota, johnnyslil01ex, ptechricer, GoOkStA, and me have all said yes so far, so that's 7. Which honestly, is about the best it's going to get. If AlexLX reads this he'll be there, so that's 8, you make 9, so hopefully it should be pretty good turnout. Oh yeah, and fuzzyduck may go too, so that would be 10.

ummmmmm, now how many of us are actually gonna be there, because a drive to lewisville for 3 or 4 cars isn't worth it. sorry

The fun is hanging out with the owners. Chit-chatting about experiences with parts, installations, and races. Asking questions and getting answers.
This isn't a car show. There are no awards. If you want to meet a few local people and chill then you're more than welcome. If you want exposure for your car...well you're not really gonna get it even if you do show.
Don't be part of the problem. People always complain because the Dallas area isn't involved enough. It's because people get prissy because there aren't turnouts like Houston, or SoCal, or Florida. The way to fix this is to SHOW UP!
...or not. I don't really care.
i gotta work that friday till 9.. so i wont be out there till 9:30pm. are you guys still gonna be out there by then?
Whoever is hoting the meet... can you PM me your celli.. so I'll hit you up before I head out there? thnks.
