For you canyon carvers... (complete list of muholland hwy canyons)
Edit: I changed the link to a better one with a map so you can click on each of the canyons, and read the evaluations/warnings/etc.Canyon Evaluations
My advice to you guys, do NOT go to Westlake/Decker/HWY23 (all the same thing, just different names) IT WILL do serious harm to your car. Takes a HEAVY toll on your suspension/brakes and motor. Some of the turns require full lock-to-lock steering maneuvers. Too extreme!

Oh yeah, Ima seriously hit some of these up. Hwy 23 is sounding good to me tho, especially with all the stuff you said it does. Sounds like ima have to take the rental car ima be getting and attack it!

hahah! Some people report their MODERN cars overheating and bowing headgaskets etc. The road is TORTURE! I've went on it twice I think.. no problems.. *knock on wood) but my friend broke his s tock '02 end link, and his brakes were spewing out GALORES of white smoke, we thought the car was on fire.

good link's mango been on all these roads. westlake now man that's a good one. if u do try it and go at night make sure u got some good lights, or ur brights on cuzz **** just comes up real quick. I think i was in 3rd for like a sec trew out the whole thing loll. and on my way back down I locked it up and almost hit the mountain lmao! good **** cuzz I got out of it quick. love my pedles razzo compation's, adjustable so I can keep them real close for gas and breaking at the same time. I was running behind a mini cooper type-s and was only 3 sec behind. and the guy lives around the corner from the start so it's his home turff. one thing for u guys that hit up that moutain or any mountain make sure ur break's still have some life, and ur tires cuzz they will take a toll! especialy ones like westlake.

this website says "latigo" canyon is a 5 out of 5 on a rating scale. I gotta try that out. another tip, dont do canyon driving if you have any kind of tire shine (armor all) on your sidewalls, when you go into a turn hard, your tire will roll and as soon as it touches the part where theres armorall, its all downhill from there. My car just started understeering like a ****, and it just went STRAIGHT as i tried to turn. SCARY!Once it breaks traction, its not going to regain it cause of momentum.

Hey Vinnie my buddy in the Mini wasnt pushing it that night, but you were running on bald tires so I gotta give you props for that.
You guys should try the canyon after Mullholland off of Kanan. Latigo Canyon the first left after Mullholand. Long but fun.

werd! derek, yea we got to get togther and do it again my breaks were so wasted after that. hahahaha....one thing, that I did like when I was behind him is that, he has rally lights so he lit that place up like it was day time! but when he would pull away I would have to trow on the bright's lolll good iish thoe and we hit up late to it was like 11 or something. but first I need tires cuzz I can feel the wire on 2 of them and the other 2 are still good to go. but u know me ill still run the mountain like that. lmao!
