Its a sad sad day for me and my car.

Today I got rear ended driving through the city. My car had less than 6000 kms on it. Only 4 months old! Its outside a body shop. If it wasnt for the storm I would have got some pictures taken. If its nice tomorow I'll make a trip out to Concord and see the car.

My baby will never be the same. *sniff*

Ill post some pics if I get some

i just got rearended a week ago and I have a big gouge (sp*) in my bumper... but my insurance company is allowing me to use the money from that on a body kit so the total bodykit + painting is only going to cost me around 200$... just goes to show that there is always a bright side to everything - even *******s who like to hit nice hondas! haha

Thanks for the support so far.

The worst thing was, the guy who hit me was a real jerk. First he started bargaining with me, and then he got all defensive and started to blame ME for the accident. I wasnt even moving! LOL. Crazy crazy people. Then he got super angry when I had my car towed (Because he knows its coming out of his insurance). I mean... If I was driving my old Tercel, I would have handled the matter privately... But this is a new car that had no blemishes and under 6000KM on it. I hope the repair shop spares no expense to get it looking perfect. Im probably going to go there this morning and see if its outside or not. I dont even know if they are open today.

And it also happened when whats left of the hurricane was just hitting us. It was windy and rainy and dark and cold and miserable. Herumph

Ill keep ya updated. I hope the damage is not as bad as I think it is. The weather was so poor I couldnt get a good look at the damage.

Heres what the damage looks like. I drove out there today after work:

http://www.pbase.com/image/21630680

It doesnt look like much but the estimate is 4300 Canadian dollars! Pretty insane. Its a good thing it isnt coming out of my pocket...

But one scarey thought... The tow truck that towed me left a HUGE SPIRAL SCRATCH where he put his turn signals on my car. But they are painting the trunk as part of the accident... Since the trunk wouldnt have been scratched if I hadnt have been towed, and of course HIT. I just hope they dont butcher it. They are painting the rear quarter panel and trunk, replacing the bumper and light and probably trying to work on that frame.

Wow consider yourself lucky as hell... Fix that and save up a lil on the side for a bodykit... This would be the best time to do so if you are planning it...

Well, I finaly got it back on friday. Everything seems to be as close to normal as it gets. All they did was asthetic stuff, the underneath frame was left as is. I guess they cant do much with it anyway.

Unfortunately it gained some small scuffs and scratches durring their work on the car, Im going to have to take it back for some touch ups. I really wish these guys would be careful especially around new and BLACK vehicles :/

But Im still happy. I have my baby back. They also did a nice detailing job. But one funny thing was getting back into the car for the first time. I had a Toyota Corolla CE rental for 2 weeks which I hated. Getting back into my car felt absolutely bizzare. I couldnt get comfortable the first half hour driving. But all is back to normal now.
