DX, LX, or EX (fastest)???

I've searched this site for awhile, and i'm basically trying to find out if any of the civic coupe's stand out, speedwise. I know that the Ex has vtec and 12 more hp, but it also weighsmore than the LX and DX. So what i'm asking is basically: assuming that all cars (EX, DX, LX) are stock and the drivers have the same amount of experience: is it a drivers race, or will the Ex win everytime??? Go ahead and flame if you need to, but as long as i get a majority answer, i'm happy. feel free to post any previous experiences.

Ok let me try to clear this up dx/lx are the same motor except the dx has no air conditioning and no power windows or door locks and a few other things gone which makes it lighter than the lx so the dx is the lightest civic , the ex is the heaviest due to the sunroof the power everything and a few other add ons but it also has the most horespower because it has a diff exhaust system and of course the vtec motor so the ex is only like 230 more pounds or something like that it may not even be that much than a lx and dx so it would win but the the dx will be faster than a lx due to weight it a drivers race thought so to answer your question its a drivers race between the lx/dx and as far as the ex vs lx/dx the ex would win assuming all the cars were 5 speed and all the drivers had the same skill .

Yes, I also think the EX is faster, but I saw a stock LX pull on an EX.
Maybe the LX is faster 0-60, but not 1/4

I read from a post on this site, someone claimed that the D17A1 had more usable low end power. But I never compared dyno charts......

^ exactly. Ive seen dx's beat ex's only because the ex drivers couldnt launch or shift correctly. Ive beaten many cars stock only because they miss shift or launch or shift incorrectly.

well I would say EX/HX/LX/DX thats what I think. I have never lost to a EX but I think its due to mostly driver error. since they have a better vtec and more hp.

11lbs each for 15's isnt' all that great. not heavy, but it's not godly. when i had my civ my 17s were only 15lbs. your modded, and don't have a cat converter if i remember correctly. race a EX with similar mods (IE HP racing header with High Flow cat, SRI, and light 15s).

Anyway. Stock Vs Stock. EX is faster. that usable low end torque is BS. i compared dyno sheets. lol. EX won't pull at all on a LX till 3rd gear however. and even so, it's barely faster.

I wasn't trying to say i have the lightest wheels, but combined with my Falken Azenis they are hella light and really good for when i autocross. Yeah stock vs Stock i think it would come to the driver, because i don't think the ex is fast at all compared to the lx...barely

i just DONT know why people think lx is faster than dx... its the SAME CAR!!! SAME MOTOR!!!, just dx is like 80 lbs lesss.. about 150 less if you have no a/c.... like me... hehehehe... with i/h/e.. its all about even... stock exhaust mani is what holds back the dx/lx motor... its SOOO restrictive... makes ex header look HUGE... i raced ex's with all the bolt ons.. and i took em when i was all motor, just i/h/e... dx is WAY lighter guys.. EX's 12 hp doesnt make THAT big of a difference...
