Nah I read up on that stupid crap. As long as the frame does not modify the plate or touch and cover the numbers they're fine. I mean come on dealerships roll out cars all the time advertising their junk. I know I won't take off my chrome naked ladies for that mess.

I guess that means you guys can get a ticket coming straight out from the dealer when you get your license plates installed (for the people who actually have their dealer do it for them). When I bought my car form Lute Riley, I immediately took off the license plate frame. No free rides man... Who wants to promote a Honda dealer anyway?
I live in California now, but I still have my Texas plates by the way : )

If the cover plate doesnt cover any word on the license plate that's will be fine. I just got warning from the police when I'm in the gas station (westiemer) $200 dont mess with them
Heard the same thing from my girl who she said she heard it in her government class. I don't really car seeing that I don't have a license plate cover but I do think it is ****. I don't think it's **** when it comes to the covers that actually cover the entire plate because those are definently breaking the law.
their main concern is not to have Texas covered up because of the amber alert. they do not want Texas coverd up because if they drive out of state people will be able to tell that the car is from Texas and keep an eye out.

Not all license plate frames cover up the word "Texas" though. My sister still got her dealership plates on her car and they don't cover up anything.
