i wanted to know if i could put an DOHC EX head on my LX....? will that make my car Vtec....?
....is it possible with no modifications...? has anyone done or heard of this...? please get back to me i really need help i bought the head so before i put it on im gonna need some help.

i think you mean SOHC bro...the bottom end of an EX block should be the same as the bottom end on an LX so I would think you could do it. I dont know why you would want to do it. VTEC on an D17A2 is crap I wouldnt even waste my time if I was you.

dude 10hp? is it really worth it ? save that 700 that u were gonna spend and put it towards a SF kit.. i mean be real...actually lets be cost affective... if you look at it this way.. say i low ball it and it costs 500 to do the change..... then u compaire that to the 3k for SF's kit... basically... say that 500 = 10hp so lets say u get an SF kit instead... now.. for 3k u get over 60 hp....and ability to go alot higher... in HP and TQ.... if u really want a vtec just trade ur **** in and get one.. dont convert it.. its just not cost effective or worth it for 10hp... I MEAN DAMN get a 50 shot of nos for 500 and get 50hp... do u see what im sayin? ur like one of those kids who buy 3 series bmw's and spend 50k ON making it look and perform like an M3... only to have it look like one and never actually perform or be one. lol
