Woodlands Meet NO 56k'ers
Im not sure if anybody here attends...here are some pics from saturday 9/6/2003

man the woodlands meet is badass .... my friend andy has been asking me to go to the meet ... i believe his been organizing this meet .. he drives an mcoupe ... and his also a filipino .. !

Rep Power: 0 ill be there most likely in 2 weeks...email me pinoypryd@aol.com if want to see the pics cuz i cant get em hosted right... they still dont even do the meet justice cuz its huge and i couldnt take pics of all the great cars cuz so many crowds
Woodlands Meet! Starts at 8pm!! Ends at 11pm! (CLICK on the map above)
Park in the South Lot first now!!! If you cannot find a space in the South lot, park in the North Lot until spaces free up in the South Lot (by 9pm) and then move to join us!!!
The large exotic/hot rod/classic car/domestic meet in the South Lot ends their meet at 9pm, thus freeing up 200 parking spaces. On a great night, there can be up to 300 cars combined between 8-9pm from both meets.

Rep Power: 0 Na bro everyone is cool and hangs out. Nobody talks **** or starts fights or even races out there. Its just to hang out so if u go dont do any burnouts or talk **** or anything cus cops are strict but they dont ever say anything to us for hanging out cus we do no harm just chill there. So if u go u'll like it everyones cool. Theres lots of girls there too.

-no burnouts, no loud music please, please pick up your trash, just don't be dumb and have fun.
-our meets have always been about just having a good time and being able to talk about what we love to do, please don't ruin it for us.
POLICE WARNING:
-the area in which we are located is patrolled mainly by Oak Ridge Police department a very small town department that always needs money.
-they are a very cool department for they do not mind us have a car gathering, the reason being is they sit along the feeder and pull over people that speed, do burnouts or any other traffic violation.
-they are pretty tough when it comes to fron license plates not being on, so if you do not have one, just a fair warning that they might ticket you.
Coming from north (of woodlands):
-take I-45 south till you get to exit number 73 "Rayford Rd/ Sawdust Rd"
-at the next light which is Sawdust Rd. take the "U" turn underneath I-45 and get on the North Bound Side
-get back on I-45 going north
-now follow directions below...
Coming from the south (of woodlands):
-take I-45 all the way up or take the Hardy Toll Road. the Hardy Toll Road ends back into before you have to exit so you would not have to worry about exiting of the Toll Road
-coming up I-45 exit number 77 "Lake Woodlands Dr"
-as soon as you get off the ramp get all the way over to the right lane as soon as possible
-on your right you will see office depot, a bunch of store fronts, Tweeter, and Luther BBQ (if you keep going down).
-the are all in the same shopping center, but we are on the south side of the shopping center next to, but not in front of, Office Depot.

The Oakridge Police are very cool. So cool in fact that they warn me in advance to any issues. So I don't want to ever hear anyone calling them "pigs" or "gay" or whatever. If they work with us to make this meet successful, they are our friends.
Latest Update:
Street racing near/in the vicinity/close to the Woodlands Meet will have an adverse effect on our ability to meet. Either don't do it or please take it FAR FAR away if you must do it. Too much energy has been placed on growing this meet for all parties. No need to lose something for us to do on Saturdays. It is quite boring for me without this meet. I would rather do it than do chores at home.
Other prior warnings:
Drugs and alcohol: I don't know of anyone doing this at the meets, but if you see/hear, please let me know asap during the meet. This will result in an immediate suspension of meet activities for everyone.
Loud music: There is a city ordinance that does not allow for us to blare our music loudly. If you notice such activities, just let them know that the police will shut us down if they don't turn it down.
Trash: They complimented our ability to clean up the parking lot including the cigarette butts. Congrats to everyone helping with the clean up and thank the meet participants for limiting their trashing. Thanks!!!!! Lets continue this great work.
Acting like idiots: Quote from one of the officers: "if you don't act like an idiot, the meet goes on". So no burnouts, no engine revving, no 5-10 people riding the back of pickups!!!. Please don't do anything to attract attention to yourself in a negative fashion.
Some of the officers enjoyed the meet so much last Saturday that they requested to bring their own cars!! So you may see them walking around. DO NOT BE ALARMED. They love HP and TQ too and love ALL CARS, including imports.
