I just got a fix it ticket today for illegal tint on my front windows. I do not wish to remove my tint. Anyone know how to get around this? I really don't want to take off my tint. I am in the stockton area. Anyone from stockton know anyone who can right off the ticket?

um..find someone with the same exact car u got, and then see the judge or sumthing...dunno if it'll work..but i think thats how some people do it?? some one please correct me if i'm wrong.

Iono if i can use another person's car that is the same as mine. because the cops record the VIN number. The court will also check the vin # to see if it's my car. I don't know, i'm not sure.

bah dont bother fighting fix it. just roll down window when cop nearby. take it off after a 2nd time.

goto the doctors office.
have ur doctor write u a doctors note that you need tint inorder to block out the sun cause u burn easily.
simple as that.

or u could do the switching cars thing. just remember to switch the plates too. just ask any random cop when hes busy. ie. drinking coffee, eating something. just point to the car and say i got it fixed.
and they just sign it.

That's a good idea about the doctor's note. Do u think the cops will accept that excuse for tinting the front windows?

btw, what percentage is your front tint? I have 50% since i got my car in 2001 and have no problems with the cops.

I think it's no darker than 70% (30% VLT) on the front. I have 25% VLT and have had no problems either.

NSXiboi- how dark is your tint?
Also, other option aside from switching your plates and taking pictures of "your" car w/o tint. Make friends with someone who works for a tinting company, and ask them to sign off saying that they removed it for you. You may have to kick down some money under the table to convince him, but it's still an option. Cheaper than removal and retinting.

I have 35% tint on the front. I got pulled over for speeding and for tint. But he let me go with the speeding. Still, i want to keep my front tints. And i am in stockton right now, so i don't know any tint company here.

Damn i never thougth about the doctor note, that maight work "hey i have skin cancer man" "i would die if i tok off the tint"
