STi vs SC300(2JZGTTE swap car)

This is the first race with my STi. I couldn't pass up a chance to race this beautiful SC300 at the track. This sc300 has a built 2JZGTTE motor. Owner claims to be pushing close to 600hp. I have increased the boost on my STi 16.5, added an APS 3" exhaust, and APS twin vent BOV. I estimate my whp at about 275-280. We did one race, the victor of this race was already clear, i had no chance. At launch I took him by a solid 2 car lengths, but once in third gear he roared past me, ending up with a time of 10.4. I lagged behind with a time of 12.6. That sc300 is the epitome of a sleeper car. It looks almost completely stock, except for the large diameter exhaust piping, and massive front mount intercooler.

yep, I know the feeling well- Ah, sweet sweet 2JZ power

oh, and just fyi- The motor is a GTE swap, not GTTE. The SC300, depending on the year, came with the 2JZ-GE motor, which is the same motor as the NA supra. It may or may not have had the VVTI controller stock, as that only came out in 98 on the N/A 2JZ. Anyway, do you know if it was a full GTE motor (block+head) or the GE head with just a GTE block swap (lower compression, better internals)? Also, do you happen to know who built his car?

I believe it was a full TT 6spd swap. Although I think he had converted to a single turbo setup. He said a shop in Dallas built his engine, a shop in Oklahoma City did most of his turbo setup and tuning, and i think polk performance in little rock was mentioned too. He built the entire car for less than $13,000. Thats including the car.

Thats it. I remember the owner mentioning a webpage but wasn't paying attention. I think he had different wheels on it at the track.
