Steph and myself have decided NOT to be part of the planning for next years Mid-Atlantic meet. We will try and go, but we don't want to plan it. I am not sure about Steve (Mex). so what we need know is someone to plan for the upcoming summer. We will give you all the info and knowledge we have learned over the past 2 meets. If you are seriously interested please let me know. Idealy we would like it a little further north, like PA, NJ, or South NY. I would only want to hand it over to people who are responsible and will take the effort to plan it well. If no one steps up, then last years meet will go down in history as the largest 7th gen meet. I encourage all of you who have the time, drive, committment, and love for this site to consider it. Thank you.

i will take charge for some of it... i think skipbarber wanted to also, but its going to be around the MD/PA/VA area
so if no NY/NJ people take charge then we'll just do it around MD again then...
hopefully by then we'll see more FI'd cars

yeah man. If it's gotta be down south again, let's do it at a theme park, like that dominion park you are always meeting at. But PLEASE, I feel (and possibly the New England fellas) that it should be held up north a little more than Marland. Maybe next year, we can have it in Pennsylvania, as originally planned? Hershey Park maybe??

I personally do not suggest a theme park, though it is not my planning. there will be limited time to look at others cars. Though it will provide alot of other activity.
If there wants to be another M-A meet next summer, plans need to start happening ASAP. A few places needed to be scouted, a new location (ie What state?), and some other small stuff (like who will be on the committee) should be all decided probably by the end of the year. So i suggest ONE person take the reigns and go for it. There will always be one primary leader and others that help. Example: if the meet will be next door Sovereign's house, then he will be the main contact and planner since he has the best access. Not trying to force it on any one person but it is a long planning process. Thanks guys.

If you guys are honestly thinkin of doin in pa, the best place to do it would be around the philly area, i live about 30-45 min from philly and its probally the easiest for everyone to get to and i know that there ae alot of big places to go like the vet parkin lot or somethin like that.
honestly if you guys go more south next year i bet like 90% of the people in the tristate area WILL NOT SHOW...it needs to be in like southern NJ like by atlantic city or somthing to that extent.. maybe as far north as SIX FLAGS would be hella nice.. and oh yea.. I WILL be getting my car inspected by my mechanic this time before i leave. lol. btw guys... its almost done! by the middle of this week it will be finished! turbo, new engine, body kit, etc.. check out my post in the members ride section

I'd be willing to help by providing a website and maps.
if we are gonna look into a theme park meet, we should try to make it a weekend event.. arrive friday, theme park saturday.. party saturday night, then leave sunday morning
let's get this going!

Yeah i think we should do a theme park event, like mex said but if you dont want to go to the theme park then you dont have to. I think we should have it a little further norht than MD this year. we could do it in PA somewhere or maybe NJ but i dont think we should go further than that. that way it helps out the peeps up north and doesnt kill people to drive very far this time. it is more in the middle.
Thats my opinion.
Thats my opinion.
i'd say six flags great adventure nj, dorney park allentown pa, or hersheypark pa, i kno hersheypark pa has a huge parking lot and all cuz they host lots of car shows at the giant arena in the adjacent parking lot.

Well it seems like a few people are interested but no definites. I would like to hand the reigns over by the end of September. So I hope someone can step up by then.
Just FYI. I really DO NOT suggest having it at a theme park. Though I am not planning I would like to offer some input on that idea. The cost of it will make some people not come. I mean they will have to pay for the price of the theme park, the parking at the theme park, a hotel room, food, gas, etc. It can get quite expensive. Also, there will be a slim chance that all the cars would get to park together. But again, I am not planning it, so it is not my call.
please someone step up and plan another GREAT meet!!!

Ocean City sounds fun. If we decide something like that, I'd like to be apart of the planning process. I vote against a theme park because like Rob said, it can be very expensive. And there probably will be a lot of people who would want to come. And it also kinda takes away from the idea of a car meet because we would be inside the park most of the day. But if it's just a few people who come, then that would be cool.
So now we need to get everyone's opinion of where to do it. Here's a mini-list to pick from. Feel free to add any other areas.
• Atlantic City, New Jersey (but this might cancel out a lot of people who aren't 21 and over)
• Philledelphia, PA
• Ocean City, MD
if we DO decide on a theme park, here are a few suggestions:
• Six Flags in NJ
• Kings Dominion in VA
• Six Flags in MD
.... that's it's so far. We need a few more places/areas before anyone can decide anything.
