To need or not to need hood pins?

If I get a carbon fiber hood, is it totally necessary to have hood pins as well? I've been told by some people that you do and other people that you don't. Give me your feedback!

i think you'd rather be safe than sorry any way -there is a chance that the wind will catch the hood at high er speeds and rip it off the pins just help secure it - sometimes they look cool too i think

if you get them.. make sure to get the ones that stay attatched to the latch so u dont have to worry about losing them.. also yes they're a good idea.. ive herd many horror stories from my friends of them poping up at speeds over 70mph..

must be a really shitty quality hood ... hoods shouldn't just pop off ... especially not at 70 mph
