Well this guy at my school races everyone, i mean even teachers in their minivans...hes the guy who has stickers on his car and always puts it in neutral and revs as he goes by in the parking lot.....but today hes like "hey i think we should race" so im like, ok im game tomorrow during lunch break since we can go off campus.

Hes got a protege, 99 or 00 i guess i cant tell and hes got a SRI and exhaust, i think just rear section, 16'' wheels, and lowered....i got a LX, SRI, and rear section, we're both also 5 speed...so who would you think would win? I think it goes down between me and him as the better driver...oh yea and another guy with a LX coupe, lowered 17''s and nothing else(auto) wants to race him...does he got a chance?

Your friend doesn't have a chance in hell. An automatic Civic LX with 17s is an 18 second car.

Between you and the Protege, I say it's a driver's race. I don't like what the SRI does for our cars, I'd rather run the stock box but that's just an opinion on a different topic.

It's a drivers race. The protege's are no slugs vs a civic. They weigh a little more and have 130/135 so it'll be a tough call.

the protege's are slow as *****. i have yet to lose to my buddies protege, i have an ex though. i have a short ram and cat back and 17's. he has a cold air intake, full header, no cat, axleback exhaust and a short shifter. i still smoke his *** by 3-4 car lengths everytime, whether it be from a stop or a rolling start.

i have driven his and he has driven mine, but we never lined up against each other. he even admited that my car pulled much harder than his and had more top end. the only thing i liked about his car was the shifter. other than that, im not very impressed with it and he spent a ton on those parts.

i had em, we raced twice, one time on a flat 2 lane road and then again after a light going slightly uphill. The first race he jumped on me but by 3rd i was lined up with him and passed him and we stopped at 75 and i had 1 1/2 cars on him. The second race was the same, he got a better launch but i still beat him by about the same length or a little more. He was surprised becuase like everyone says he was like "i thought the new civics suck." But i could have been a better driver in both races, im not cocky when it comes to racing or anything but ive drove manuals since i was 11. Oh and i found out he has a full cat back exhaust, not a rear section. Me and him are cool now though and wants me to join his "car team" haha, no

his mods werent cheap either, he has an injen cold air intake, custom made stainless headers and cat elimintator and a j-spec 5zigen exhaust and a b&m short shifter. he is kinda mad he spent all the loot on those things when it didnt do much.
