Nothing. Water will just get in your engine compartment which is no big deal. Water gets in there anyways from the ground.

What is the K count on your carbon fiber? If it's good, I'm intrested

These are all Grade A carbon fiber hoods made by companies such as VIS and TC Sportlines. All are vacuum packed...

K count? Sorry I dont know what that is Let me know what that is and I will give you the specs..

Local is cheaper, just come down and I will quote you on this...

k count is how many fibers per thread...

Carbon comes from the producer in the form of a "FIBER". Fibers are rated in size with a "K" designation: The "K" of a fiber is how many THOUSANDS of tiny "filaments" are grouped together. The smallest, (and most expensive $ per-pound!) is a "1-K" fiber. The "3-K" size is a more commonly used fiber, it contains 3,000 filaments, or 3-times as many as that in a 1-K fiber. Next up in size/strength, with even higher volume of commercial use, is a "6-K" fiber; then "12-K" etc. Carbon fibers are bought and sold priced "by-the-pound".

that evo hood is ok, but i think it would look better w/o the two outermost vents.

what do you people think about just one of those vents on the intake side? i was thinking about putting one on if/when i bought and evo style cf hood.. just curious to see what you people thought about that..

my intake rubs against the underside of my stock hood. are any of these carbon fiber hoods larger in size, like about 1-2 inches taller than stock hoods, so i can fit my intake?

Most of these hoods come with the skeleton underneath, same as your stock. If it rubs, these skeletons are made of fiberglass and can be shaved. I havent had any problems so far with any of the hoods with aftermarket intakes...

i was just wondering if the oem hoods come predrilled for the molding piece at the front of our hoods or if they come with a carbon fiber version of the molding or what... i'll attach an image of what i'm talkin about.

We offer the VIS oem CFH which includes the carbon fiber front hood lip. You can detach that and attach your stock one if you want...
