Nighthawk Black is the shade of black.
Nighthawk Black's PEARL is blue.
I still say my nighthawk is a shade of blue. I could be wrong...but in direct sunlight it sure as hell looks deep deep blue. However since I don't work for honda..and I'm not car painter guy...and my girlfriend says there are like 92875 shades of black (even though all her damn shoes look black to me) I will not say that it is blue. Has anyone else noticed this in the nighthawk color?
I guess another question...that might be adding to my confusion....are there two seperate colors? nighthawk black and nighthawk pearl? Any pics so my apparently color blind butt can see the diffrence?

The color of your car is Nighthawk Black Pearl which is one color and always comes with "pearl." What you need to understand is the "Pearl" effect in the paint. If your car is clean, notice sometimes at night how it does sparkle blue? THAT is the pearl and YES it can change the color of your car under the sunlight or other different colored lights.
I was just saying that "Nighthawk Black" is the shade of black used for the Civics. Get it now?

Everyone else says purple and it's literally purple.Oh, and FYI that would be the "pearl" effect of the Eternal Blue Pearl paint. You're most likely not gonna notice it in the daytime unless it's a cloudy day.
AHHHHHHHHHHH the light bulb over my head just illuminated. Thank you for clearing it up. I knew I saw some blue....just didn't know where it came from. I got it now....thanks.
