2001 EX - oil splatter underneath hood

Good Morning:

I have a 2001 EX 5 speed that I bought new. It has 16,240 miles on it.
I'm noticing a line of what appears to be oil on the underside of he hood.
It appears on the right side above the accessories belt. Something appears to be
slinging oil. My old '87 Chevy does this and it's the A/C compressor which has
a leak in the shaft seal. But it's hard to believe this would be happening with
the Civic as well. Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas on what it is?

Thanks,

Silverfox
