Dropped off my car this morning to have the tranny checked.
2002 LX Coupe @ 35,900 miles
The tranny was acting a little harsh, but I just need to change the fluid.
Anyway, it was FREE of charge without any bullsh*t talk (unlike Norm Reeves Honda... wanted $78.00 for the diagnostics check).
Dropped it off at 10:00am
Ready by 5:00pm
They didn't find any problems, but i'm glad that they checked it for free and test drove it to make sure everything else was all right.
WHY DID I POST THIS? Well for those of you that need to have warranty things checked now you know where to go.
Talk to Jorge Espinoza (something like that). Cool dude that won't punk you around.

If you get oil changes from Honda dealerships, you might wanna try this one!
FREE CAR WASH (upon request)
$24.95 for the whole thing plus the regular visual check-up
(oil, filter, top-off fluids, car wash, vacuum, lubricate chasis, etc)
Not bad from a dealership

The correct link is:
www.lahondaworld.com
You can also make an appointment online
1. Under "Parts and Service" (Grey Bar)
2. Then select "Schedule Service" (Blue Bar)
Most likely they'll call you 2-3 days later and ask if you want to come in earlier.

Oh hell no don't go to honda downey!!!!!!!
Yeah, yeah, I always have bad experiences ... but you gotta hear this one.
Bought my car brand new from them.
There service dept was fixing something that was wrong with my car (brand new car)... brought it in the week after cuz the guys said they would fix it ....
SOME EMPLOYEE TOOK MY CAR OUT JOYRIDING ... THEY PUT A FEW HUNDRED MILES ON MY CAR THAT WERE NOT THERE WHEN I DROPPED MY CAR OFF... KEEP IN MIND THIS IS THE BREAK-IN PERIOD ON MY CAR. I DON'T KNOW WHO DROVE MY CAR. I DON'T KNOW WHY SOME *** WOULD WANT TO USE MY CAR. I DONT' KNOW WHAT THEY DID IN MY CAR. ALL I KNOW IS THAT SOMEONE TOOK IT OUT AND DROVE IT. PERHAPS THEY COULD HAVE DRIVEN THE **** OUT OF MY CAR. WHO KNOWS????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????
YEAH, THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST THINGS THEY DID TO MY CAR. I HAVE A VERY LONG STORY ...BUT THIS IS ALL I'M SAYING RIGHT NOW.. TOO TIRED TO TYPE MORE BOUT THEM....

Well all dealerships have bad experiences.
Out of the LA area dealerships, Downey Honda & Diamond Bar honda seem to have more "good" support than the rest ::cough:: Norm Reeves Honda ::cough::
Anyway, so what did downey honda do then??

heh, i hate the dealerships... the only reason i would go there is to buy oil filters when they have them on sale... btw tranny fluid should be changed every 30k both manual and autos... i threw in some 10w30 synthetic in mine and it just slips so easily into gear now i love it... and no more 2nd gear popping out

It's $56 from the dealership using Honda ATF (really good stuff)
or $40-50 from any mechanic shop (using crap)
Definetely going to the dealership for a tranny fluid flush/exchange.
I hope by flush they don't just mean draining the fluid (LOL)

I only take my car to
Buena Park Honda
for service. They do not harrass me about my mod's on the car, They always complement my car and the things I have done, any thing that has gone wrong with it because of the Mod's, they have fixed with no charge (Nothing major yet) Always check the car and report problems before charging. Free oil changes everyother service. I can not say anything more positive. They are truly #1. Sorry but I did not have a great experience at both Norm Reeves and Honda World so I gladly
them.

My dealership (Honda of Valencia) actually sold me my car with false milage written on the purchase contract... I shoulda checked it out but was too excited about getting my first car, but anyway, the contract said 16 miles, and it actually had 168. :-./
oh and...
AK, it's "Gray" not "Grey"... if you're referring to color. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyway, FAWK honda downey!!!!!!!
Like I said, someone illegally "borrowed" my ride while it was supposed to be getting fixed... no wonder it took so long for my car to get fixed... Looks like they had a little "road trip" -- either that or raced my car some where.. asssholessssssss!!!!!!!!!
Dealerships are always, always trying to screw you over, just like how Hardin Honda now left my car all rattling.
My car is in waaaaaaaay worse shape now, and I wish I never brought it in. The rattling that wasn't there before will never stop, because now, no one can find the cause. I'm sure they know what it is, because THEY WERE THE ONES THAT CAUSED IT AFTER BREAKING MY TCS EXHAUST, SCREWING AROUND WITH MY GLOVE BOX, AND SCRATCHING ALL THE PAINT ON MY CAR!!!!!!
Fawk all the dealerships!!!
From now on, I am never going to another honda dealership, unless I need to buy an oem part or something I can only get from them. Fawk them. They all screwed me and my car over.

hands' story is good enough to convince me to not go near downey.
