Exclamation Help!! Steering Wheel Swap!!

I just put the steering wheel from the Si/SiR on my Si/EX coupe and I have a question for the masses....

Ok first of all, the wheel does fit nicely and the airbag does work and the ground is good...but....

The cruise clip isn't the same as the OEM. So what I have are the same wires with different connectors. I tried to splice in the connector from my OEM wheel but that doesn't seem to have helped. While I was able to hook it all up the cruise still won't work. Is this even possible to do or should I cut bait and try to wire in the OEM cruise back into the car in another location...

help is much appreciated...

Cheers!

It wasn't cheap but it came complete with everything and in mint condition. The expense was worth it, I love how it looks and feels..

Get the SiR wheel. It fits really well. I didn't really care about the red stictching being that my car is mostly blue, black and silver, just loved how it looked...he he he!

I would try and get ahold of the SI/SiR wheel. The acura one would be worth it, it woulkd look off unless however your were to grab the Honda Integra wheel but youll loose cruise control and some permanent wires need to be cut

Maybe Ebay. I'm gonna try to sell my OEM bag there. I've seen them sell before.

The Si/SiR wheel is smaller and shaped different though. Granted the OEM wheel that we have would look better wrapped but I still like the Si better. If you're concerned about the cruise just rewire it to the center console or something...Array did that nicely with his...

You have to use your OEM Cruise control and relocate it on the column. Rewire it from the column, I am planning on doing it and DIY it once my buddy from Honda gets the wiring schematics.

if you want the wheel and air bag for cheap...try lookin at www.car-part.com Ive seen wheel and bag for as low as i think $100 before. The problem with getting the RSX wheel is that you have a honda, and you would have an Acura emblem on your wheel. I mean, if you are into that sort of thing, more power to you, but thats just not me. Is there a way to put a honda emblem on the RSX wheel? Maybe take that cover part off of a Si wheel, and put it on the RSX wheel...i dont know, i havnt really looked closely at a wheel before.

I don't think you can change the emblem itself. The shape is different. I was just looking at the Acura emblem on my steering wheel. But changing the cover itself I'm not too sure about.
