Howd you mount your Kit?

There may be a million threads on this, but there are always new people comming up with new ideas, so I was wondering if anyone can give me a few ideas of what worked and didn't when they were mounting their body kit. I recently had to take off my front bumper and it is in the shop right now getting painted, and I am unhappy with how it is mounted. I want to make it a lot better when I put it back on, but I am wondering what the best method would be. Right now I have the 2 middle bolts in it and then 2 bolts with big washers right where the wheelwell ends. I had problems trying to get screws more towards the front of the car, and sometimes I have a nasty little gap underneath my headlights. I personally am using a fiberglass kit for the time being, I'm not gonna lie, I don't have the money right now for Urethane. So, what worked for you?

prehaps your piece dosent fit quite right? on mine, wich is urathane, it didnt fit right at first either. also, depending on what front it is, you may want to have them put some screws in the front of the wheel wells. I have the octane and it did not come with holes, and at first when i would get on the highway i would hear this kinda flapping sound, but i couldne tfigure out what it was. then a day or so later i noticed that my wheel well/splash guard thingies where getting a new A hold ripped in them by the jagged edge of the mesh. so i just had them put in some screws and problem solved.

well since u have fiberglass ...maybe u should have the body shop put it on .. and sand it out and make it fit.. fiberglass is never a perfect fit... it always needs some custom work to fit right.

I repeat "DO NOT USE THE 3M FOAM TAPE" use the plastic clear one it holds much better and its easy if you have to redo it because the foams rips off as opposed to plastic it just comes off with some muscle.

What about the grey stuff? I got the Veloz edition of my car and it came with the lip kit. Honda did the traditional mounting with the bolts and all, but they used that grey stuff thats kindof like 2-sided tape but not a tape at all.. Its more like a ... I'm not sure.. I don't know the name

I know that the stuff I am talking about doesn't hurt the paint but you have to pick it off which takes a while.. Its good stuff to use if you can find it!

joski, that would be kinda like this sealant ****. I used that on my car too putting my kit on. Its like 70 bux a bottle at the store...stands up to 325degree F. ANd like wont break, **** damn near impossible to get off...find it at a good hardware store...real expensive, will seal ANYTHINGGGG
