how can i make it not rattle...

ok heres the deal, took the resonator off my magnaflow exhaust. the sound is fine its just that the pipe is rattling up against something under the car, probably my rear sway bar or whatever its called. im not sure because as we all know i cant really look under my car while its in motion. however i wanted to know if theres something that i might be able to wrap around the pipe or something to not make it rattle? im going back to the shop tommorow to see if i can get some help and if not you guys are always here for good replies to help the problem.

I would say header wrap the sway bar near the muffler. They sell adhesive heat resistant tape too... that might be better so you don't have to clamp it on. PermaCool ThermoTec is one brand. They sell it at Jeg's.

Do you see any scratches on the sway bar? Check all the bolts on the exhaust. Are you sure its not from when you took your resonator? Did it make the sound before?

No... I have the same problem with my Skunk2 catback. It is hitting where the mid pipe cuts from the driver side over and back. go under your car when its cool and shake it around you will see where it is PROLLY hitting. I wasnt able to fix it - i think its bc i have to much back pressuare? i dunno... i actually put dynamat right where it was rubbing under the car (not on the pipe) and now it makes a nice little thud instead of a loud TING.

Don't wrap it, if u are gonna do it, then do it right. I had the same problem, i took mine to an exhaust shop and they ran custom piping to get me over the sway bar.

i had a similiar situation, but the rattleing noise was coming from a bolt that was bolted to the frame that was welded to a piece of rubber to hold the exhuast up so it wouldnt fall if there was to much pressure on it when I hit a bump or something...the noise was happening for a week before I figured the problem...try looking around the exhaust and see if there's anything holding it up...your situation might be alot different but i hope this helps abit.
