Question **HELP** Pioneer 6.5" 4way's in LX Sedan = D.I.Y.?

just got new pioneer TS-A1680R 4way 6.5"s
plan on installing them in the front of my 2k1 civic LX sedan
they have a mounting depth of 2 1/4"
would i easily be able to do it myself or would i need to get it professionaly done?
heres a link for the exact specs 4way 6.5s
ps, i searched but didnt find much on my speakers, and the diy didnt help much in this area

Just follow the DIY....you'll need a spacer...probably 3/4 inch or an inch.

It's a pretty easy install in general, dont waste money on a pro install, just do it yourself. You'll feel better about it in the end too, it's something YOU actually did.

i tried putting in the same speaker but i had to take them back, even with a spacer they didnt fit my coupe, i dunno if sedans have different mounting depths but i had to settle for pioneer 3 ways.

on infinity's website they say that up to a 3.5" mounting depth will fit,
and with a 1" spacer, they would be less than the shallow mount infinity 6.5"s

Well, I didn't have any problem installing my Pioneer 1667's (3-ways) in my sedan. I did use 1" spacers (Scosche), and I had to drill new holes. They fit fine (2" mounting depth), and I still had some room to spare.

sedans have no depth problems, the trunk bars are off to the side in comparison to the hole

do the door panels use metal clips like the center console or are they the plastic ones, and what should i use to take the doorpanel off?
