Just watch this site - cars go up for sale almost daily here. I don't know where you're from, but there's sure to be one near you.

You do know 99-00 and 01+ are different body styles, right?

Yes ive tried auto trader, private and dealers! and yes i do know the diffrence between the 99-00--01 bodies.

I was told that maybe i could get a good deal at a dealers auction( i know a dealer ) in border town NJ. But my question is what can i get for $10,000. Ive tried Paragon honda they wanted $14,000 for a 00 ex silver . Isnt that too much?

I bought my '02 EX 5-spd w/44 miles on it for $14,500...brand new. I was the only one to test drive it! A 2000 EX for 14g's is WAY too much!

To tell you the truth the 96-98/99-00 model civics are a bit more popular than our 7th gens. So unfortunatley.. they are always overpriced (at least around here anyways) seriously.. 01 and up is better deal.. they may not be as hot and in style now.. but they are comming up.. as soon as another body style comes out the 7th gens will be ballin and the older ones will be old.. I priced 99-00 civics around here and they were all around 8k for the DX which is trash because the new DX 03 is only like 10K and the LX and EXs were 13-15k wtf?

If you don't care about the different models, you can get a new DX for $11k or so on www.carsdirect.com. Better yet, the 2004 Civic will be out this fall, which inevitably means prices on the "new" 2003 Civics available will be slashed significantly.
The prices of 6th gen Civics are based on demand, not on the fact that it is used. Don't believe me? Check out those Preludes. Some cost more used than it did new. The guy who posted about getting a new EX for 14.5K, that is awesome. The best I can do is $15.5k.

thanxs guys for all the replies
what im looking for is a EX only wether itll be 00 or 7th generation/automatic (silver or black)

that black one looks pretty good but im in new york, i dont think ill be able to purchase that all the in CA!

these are the following quotes ive gotten so far

01 lx silver automatic with extras $10,500, but the transmission was kicking at only 48k miles
00 ex silver had a salvaged title broken chassi $8,000
00 ex silver $14,200 43k miles clean at honda dealer certified honda 3 years left

By the way what is the major difference between 6th generation and 7th generation EX style only other than the body

The engines are different, suspension, interior, exterior. 7th generation 2001+ in reality is a superior vehicle to the 2000 Civic, although performance is not the main concern of honda and some people have had difficulty modifying the 2001+ civics although, as proven by Catalyst these civics can be brought into the 13 second range so... it really doesnt matter what year you buy. If you are interested in performance I suggest you not purchase an automatic Civic as you will most likely be dissapointed in the results. If you are looking for an excellent vehicle, great gas milage, roomy, spirited drive thats comfortable I suggest the 2001+ Civic.
