I just got back from the track, and i'm a little confused about whether i did good for what i have or if i just made an idiot outa myself. The very first run i beat my friends 6th gen with an 11.247, not bad but not good. I had a pretty bad reaction time so i went and raced again and came up with and 11.313, and the third time 11.401. So now i was just pissed i still had bad starts and slower time. So the 4th run i had a reaction time of .196 very good, but my 1/8 time was an 11.9, horrible. If my foot coulda reached my face i woulda kicked myself. So the last run i did an 11.134 with a .664 rt. could not break tens, any insight on good times???
I've only been to the track once in the Jetta and then I only ran three times, but I got a 10.3 completely stock. I've done some suspension mods though so I'm itching to see how it does now.

I got a 10.6 with just my intake on my LX that was in October. The cooler and less humid it is the better you time. What al do you have done. If you have 17s or body kit that is an average time

well all together i have eibach springs, injen cai, greddy evo exhaust. I think the reason i was getting such bad times was because of the constant 101 degree temps all this week, i don't think having a full tank of gas helped either.
go back with an 1/8 to 1/4 tank, and reaction time doesn't affect your ET, so even if you had a 5 second RT you still would've gotten the 11.134 er however much it was...also, you said .196 RT was good for you? isn't anything below .500 redlining and .500 a perfect start?
some tracks have switched to a .001 being perfect instead of .500. but i guess 11.1 isnt bad. your times were probably going up at first because you ran your car one run after another. you have to let it cool to run your best times. when i go the the track i only get in 2 maybe 3 runs. one when i get there and 1 2 hours later after it cools then i let it cool for a few minutes and run again. anyhow i got a 10.01@68mph with Inken intake, exedy racing clutch, no cat, and 2.25 catback to a straight through muffler. now that i have pullies and no wheels and hopefully this weekend a timing gear and half a cat. i should be able to hit 9's if i can ever get to the track.
I've been to ennis twice so far with the si, and have gotten better times with each run.
Tonight i stuck a 9.931 in the 1/8 (I/H/E).
yes this is the NEW minivan si. finished the 1/4 with a 15.4.
did your friend ever get that greddy turbo?

Well stock I was running my best was 10.813, but I was running around 11.2 most of the time.
hypnotic: yeah down here in DFW area it sucks *** how hot and humid it gets doesn't it. Just wait till later around october or november and you will get alot better times.
