thats more than enough you could use the 500 degree stuff and it would work just fine..... put on a lot of coats or it will crack after a while.

It's easy.
4 bolts and unplug the exhaust manifold sensor and it comes right off.
Sand with 200 grit and wash with acetone.
prime 3 times and paint 4 coats and it looks good
Remember to paint your bolt ends to match.

Painted the plastic the same as the heatshield BUT took longer and more coats of paint (plastic sucks to paint).
Then used white tremclad paint (clings well) and hand painted the HONDA raised lettering.

I used a bottle of SSM touch up paint that I bought to do the letters on my valve cover, no pics at the moment but it worked very well, and matches the car.

Tip: Don't do like I did and double thread the bottom bolt when putting it back on. That thing is a B*tch to get out if you do. Mine is still it there.

Canadian Tire has all your supplies
1. 200 grit sand paper
2. 500 degree primer
3. acetone
4. paint (make sure it can handle 500 degree heat as well

You are kidding right? I touched that thing with the back of my hand once after it had been sitting cooling for like 20 mins and the skin on my knuckle did not just burn but it did this wierd melting thing. If you don' t think it is hot. Just touch it.

The plastic piece on the top of the engine, any paint can be used. For the actual valve cover, use high temp paint. For the heat shield, definetly use high temp paint.
