it wouldnt be functional for the civic anyway if it was a true dual exhaust set-up..

he's not saying he is a dumb *** for asking he is saying he is a dumbass for putting this in the track/street/strip forum.

If you get duals it will hurt your tq. It will also have a very good chance of melting your fuel line, which then would go BOOM. Also it is close to your fuel tank, which could over heat it, and go BOOM as well. Best thing to do for a I4 with 127 hp is to keep a single exhaust.

The melting fuel line it true. If you want positive hp and tq then get a dummy kit. Or just get a single pipe and be happy.

Umm... eBay usually has true dual exhausts for around $300. Buy as everyone has told you it will hurt performance, if youre not going for performance but making a showcar than thats your business. As people are saying you could use a dummy muffler, just get a single catback exhaust and buy a seperate muffler, just dont hook up the second muffler, it would be ghey though if anyone looked under your car and there was just a muffler sitting there. If youre getting a body kit get a urethane, fiberglass sucks and usually doesnt fit well.

Just how exactly do you get a true dual exhaust out of a single header?

meaning that both mufflers exhale gasses, rather than one dummy muffler. run a Y pipe off the mid-pipe. obviously we dont have header(s), i think it was understood what i was saying, rather than reading out of context...

Basicly what they do is cut a lil slit in the exhaust pipe and weld on another pipe to it to make the exhaust stuff come out from that one too...
JUST A GUESS

I have dual functional exhaust, and i felt no loss of power, call it rice, call it what you want, but when you plan to be pulling 350+ WHP the dual will definantly be needed.
