Use high temp paint. Don't paint the low/high beam part. And some also recommend to leave the signal part chrome because it won't be as bright if it's painted.

thanks man. And you really dont need to tape the big part. The part that I painted is separate from the other areas. It screws on, just be real careful gettting it in and out. Also, don't listen to the whole "scrape off the black gunk and seal it with silicon" Thats so much wasted effort. When you pry it apart leave the black stuff, be careful you don't touch the lense to it, but leave it. That stuff will re seal itself really nicely. So just use that same stuff that was on there, I've taken mine apart 3 times using the exact same stuff and I havent had a single problem with fogging or leaking.

why be cheap??? just buy headlamps that are already done for you like the chrome/gunmetal ones, painting headlamps is 100% ricey and should be banned. Whats next instead of buying brembo big brake kits or stop tech kits ppl will start painting there caliburs??? man if anything can be said about this generation it is the era of rice in its worse

Please oh please tell me your not serious. You do realize that the ones they sell painted, were once regular chrome also, and they had to do the same exact thing. Crack them open, paint, and reseal. You should really think before you speak there buddy. And also, tell me again how that is ricey. If you had'nt noticed, some cars have blacked out headlights from the factory.

be cheap? haha. nothing wrong with using oem parts. why would you pay $100 for aftermarket headlights if you can do it with $15 or less. and good experience. and some of aftermarket headlights leaks, bulbs doesnt fit righul
