window tinting help
window tinting help
hey guys, i have a 2k1 lx coupe and i'd like to get my windows tinted. what % should i get? I heard 35% all around would be good. how much does the tinting affect your visibility/driving during the night? Can you guys give me some good shops to go to? I'm in the chandler/tempe area.
just curious, how do they place the tint on your windows? do they remove all the glass from the car, place the tint on, and then put it back in?

Hello higgie and WELCOME! I wouldn't do 35% all around, I would start with that on the back windows and lower the percentage as I came to my side and front windshield. A really good professional installer can help you with this graduatuon of different %s. I think 35% all around would hamper your night driving a lot. I'm not in your area, however, we have several guys that are and maybe they could point you in the right direction. Your glass is not removed when tint is put on it, it is kinda like placing a decal on your car or window. AGAIN, WELCOME!!! Will you be able to join us for meets? Please post your first name in the name association thread here on the AZ forum, THANKS!!!
GUYS-PLEASE POINT HIM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR HIS AREA!!!

i have a 32% (AZ legal) full-wrap on my sedan...
its light but i like it because it gives it a clean look...but if i could do it all over again, the only change would be the rear window at 20%
*i had the windows done at the dealership before i took delivery*
i have had 5 other vehicles done at a place called the tint-shop...they do good work and warranty it for as long as you own the vehicle

Thanks for hooking him up, J.T.!
higgie-make sure to get an upper front windshield strip all the way acrosss for it really helps out with the way our cars front windshield is. And, if you have I.C.E. or want to get I.C.E., you can see it soo much better!
