I think that you should check your engine oil level. If it is leaking oil then you should change your rear engine seal because oil is leaking out on the flywheel causing the clutch to slip especially on a hill because the engine is on a slope!!!!

I hope this helps!

It's probably just your clutch slipping. How rough have you been on your clutch since getting your car?

Now i could totally be talking out of my ***... BUT, as far as I knew, when you get things like oil, or water even on a clutch, it will slip for quite a while, IE, his clutch would KEEP slipping even after he got off the hill, and for the rest of the day/week. I drove though a deep puddle, and my clutch slipped for 2 days, seeing as it's a friction creating surface, any sort of lubrication will RUIN it untill it is totally worn off. Now i know that brake pads aren't the same as clutch material, but, If you get oil on your brake pads you basically have to replace them since it seeps in and prevents friction from being made and a clutch is a similar type of surface. SECOND, our engine is transversly mounted which means that the clutch is not inline with the car, insted it is inline with the axle, therefor if he was on a hill, no more or less oil would "leak" out onto the clutch surface, in fact, his clutch would only really slip do to an oil leak with hard cornering.

Great to hear the opinions however even though our engines are transversly mounted when we are on a hill the oil level becomes tilted almost to the level of the crank (By the rear engine seal) and it will leak out on the FLYWHEEL..... (The flywheel is hot that's why it burns off faster) Food for though!!!

And if you guys are like me then if a drop of oil get on my flywheel or clutch it will wear off in about 2-3 hrs (I don't hesitate to drag off. Sh*t whatever happens)

If you are at a stand still and drag off while balancing the clutch alot (somepeople say burning the clutch) it will slip a little when you go into 2nd gear!!

Try that and see.

fArMeRjOhN the 20K that you have on your civic is nothin.....
We had one with 45K that we used to drag with using the stock clutch and it was still holding reasonably ok.

Also when the oil gets on the flywheel (which spins extremly fast) some splashes off into the sorrounding area before it could burn off. (And when I say the surrounding area I mean the clutch
