.:Bumper Predicament:.

yooooooo.... i ruined my bumper Now the thing is, the bumper was stock. In the future i wanna get a kit but cant afford it now. Should i get the kit bumper and have my car look messed up with a stock body and a kit bumper, or get another stock bumper and pay the extra 350 when i finally get the kit?!?!

let me know what u think

I'm in the same boat, but mine isn't as bad as yours it seems. Over winter i hit a patch of ice, and even though i was only doing about 25-30 the car slid across the road and into a snow bank (if u live in jersey you know we had a bad winter so the snowbank was pretty big). I dented in the front left of the bumper and also ripped it near the wheel well. I, too, want to get a kit in the future so i just fixed it as best i could and am just leaving it damaged. If you buy another stock bumper, it's gonna be a couple hundred to get it installed and painted. I would say if the car is drivable in it's damaged condition just leave it and save that money to get a kit sooner.

yeah i would but i cant leave it the way it is. im thinking of just ordering the kit piece by piece (front bumper then the side skirts and then the rear) i figure the car will look good even without the rear bumper if i have the front and sides done. all i need to do is find some cheap side skirts to put on... im thinkin of the octane ones, but im just gonna have to wait and see wat happens. good luck with ur car though

by the way i no all about the snow... im from philly

I have the same issue, winter storm probably same one. Stuck in Jersey drove home in it and hit a nice big patch of ice in the road. Scratched up the front lower right bumper. I am thinking of just buying a new lip for the front and back and some side skirts to clean it up instead of paying to get it repainted and fixed. I was looking at shots of where it all goes and I think it will cover the mark and make it look better without painting.
