i bought them online from www.jcwhitney.com
they cost me $26.99 for the triple-trumpet set-up...
the other costs involved were for a piece of all-thread and some washers / nuts...
its not hard to do the install...it just took me awhile to figure out how i was going to do it and hide the wiring and such so that no one would be able to see this mod...
as far as the keyless-entry system (factory system), it only 'beeps' when you press the lock button twice...so it doesnt have to sound if you dont want it to

alex, thats probably how the dealer set-up the system on yours when you bought it (i think that they can be programmed differently)...
i wanted mine to be silent and i asked them to make sure that they would set it up that way for me

I can definitely vouch for the loudness. It's a sound you'd expect from a Freightliner not a Civic.
I'm going to wire some into my alarm soon. Hopefully, the thieves will be so annoyed from that aweful sound they won't rip up my car trying to find my alarm brain (beautifully hidden anyway).

J.T., that is most definitely the way to go with your air horn! They sound like they will let the person in front of you know to get the hell out of your way because we are far more important, right?

In my last car (93 Accord) I had 2 sirens on the alarm outside and one piezo inside. For the Civic, I have 2 outside and I'm going to get 2 airhorns (one more outside and one inside) I don't think I'll even need my pager on my alarm when that goes off. I probably wire the outside one to my horn as well and replace my "excuse me mister I'm a cute fuzzy little horn, can I get by now if it's OK?" excuse of a horn. Just hope it doesn't get set off accidentally. I have a friend who is a commercial accounts manager at Checker, I'll check prices tommorrow and see if I can get us deals on them..
