Do you know how to check the condition of shock?

look at it. If it is leaking or bouncy then it is blown. What else do you want to know?

What's the sign if the shock is leaking?

You'll see oil and wetness on the strut, usually towards the bottom of the assembly.

this is a pic of my blown/leaky drivers side rear shock. you can see above where the spring is all compressed on it self, and below where the plastic dust cover is. that their is a little section where the oil from the shock has leaked out & dust & sand has collected on it.
