Oh Shiznit!!! Help Me!!!
The rev limiter just shuts off fuel so you can't accelerate past a certain point. There is nothing stopping you from over-revving it by misshifting, it is a physical connection between the transmission and engine. This can only happen through fault of the driver. I've done it as well, only not as bad

yeah... i believe honda assumes that i gunned it to redline though... because they haven't said anything about a misshift... nothing at all... and i mean, they haven't even started tearing down the head... they just THINK that's what happened... about the bent valve and what not... so i just got to play it by ear... so far what i've heard from my mom, is that if they don't fix it... she's going to sell both cars, then take whatever money we can from it, and put a down payment on an '06 Si... either that, or she's going to get the car towed from hunt club honda to our mechanic here and let him do the work for alot less moolah...

LOL... but he said all of the valves were touched... or something like that, and he assumes over revvage but the computer wasn't pulling up any codes (i assume obd II codes) so it's covered under warranty... ... golden horseshoe, i'm selling it??? fresh from my bum

When it's covered under warranty, they take their sweet *** time. Customer Service is Customer Service if you ask me. whether I'm paying for it or not.

ARE ON BACK ORDER!!! i was like, u gotta be $hittin me... as if they're on back order... they're like oh it could take anywhere from a week-3 weeks, they're at the "mercy" of honda... grrrrrrrrrrrr...
