Status so far:
The car is still up on jacks. We fired it up today and I have one oil leak in the return line from the turbo. I need to repair that leak, and play/mess with my fuel settings, modify my exhaust to fit, install missing link, finish with my guages, and do some final inspection and testing tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes well and I can drive it home
Big thanks to Jim for the helping hand, and the entertainment
Chris and Jer and Caryn (my go-to girl) have been a big help. Overall not a difficult job. It's all in the details.

Definitely looks like Jim had fun
Looks like you both (Caryn & Julian) are going to be enjoying the turboed ride. Looks like an incredible way to spend a day and definitely going to be nice to see/hear eventually

Ugh. Problems today. Thinking maybe my wastegate is messed. It was dropped (by a previous owner) and is a little dented on the corner of the wastegate. I think this is causing me not to get into boost. That and some vacuum issues and running a little rich I think, might be related. I have to work tonight, so I'll be sleeping now and back at it the morning. Friggin frustrating! I just want to get it running at this point.

I was gonna guess 160 from what I've read about other setups. 180 on about 8psi (I'm guessing) would be cool.

KABOOM!!!
8psi on the D17? I dunno man...sounds like trouble.
oh yeah...I just punched some numbers into calculator.
The engine is 115hp stock. running 1 BAR would produce an extra 115hp. 1 BAR = roughly 14.7psi, but we'll just say it's 15.
115/15 = 7.7.
so, theoretically, you're looking at 7.7 horsepower per psi.
If julian is calculating something else, I'd love to know what it is...I'm curious to see how he got his numbers, and what i'm doin different.
