Either way, it doesn't matter if people would like to go up for 1 day or 2 here's how we should organize the departure.

7:30 am meet at Tim Hortons on Huntclub (near wind tunnel)
8:00 am Depature time for Toronto
-- we should be able to do this without stopping but if we need to refuel on coffee or take a leak, we can stop in Kingston at the truck stop.
12:00/12:30 arrive at the Kennedy Commons Tim Hortons

If any of you have 2-way radios, it is a good idea to bring them, as the are handy to have for speed traps etc.

This is coming up quick as it is in less than 2 weeks. So post up again if your 100% in going. I don't want to have to wait after 8 am to see if people "might" show up.

if we get this planning out of the way now, it will be a very enjoyable weekend/day event.

I'm flexible for the length of the trip - leaning towards minimal but can easily be swayed (especially depending how I feel that day).

The first service center just after the 416 meets the 401 sounds like a great meeting place - just like where you and Freddy met me last summer for the BBQ trip. That way if anyone needs to gas/stretch it can be done, and afterwards the MTL crew can ride with the Ottawa crew

I'll have the 2-ways I have (and hopefully another), though they might already be loaned out depending on the MTL turnout. If not to talk about the speed-traps, its still nice to talk rather than listening to music the whole trip (as some don't have mp3 players and well their cds get old quick )

There are three Fridays before this meet, hopefully everything can be solidified on/by the second - and we'll discuss the plans in person (with the possiblity of meeting others that same night)

Yeah the Friday of the 6th, we'll be out for the meet, but I doubt that a trip to M&M will be on the agenda, specially if I will have to be awake for like 6:30ish

Highway 7 is longer I do believe. (traffic issues, and speed) I'm not really concerned about gas.

highway 7 is shorter but cause of speed limit and the fact you drive through alot of towns, it makes the drive longer. There are more cops on this highway and more chance you'll get pulled over.

I haven't used highway 7 since they opened the 416 all the way to the 401.

I'll head out with you guys for sure...but I'll be staying in Toronto to spend mothers day with my mom....that's on the 8th I believe.

Plus Highway 7 is more dangerous ... only a 1 laner on each side ... and those rednecks ... We dont need that hassle.
