FS: Ultra-Super-Mega LED modded cluster (I was joking... How 'bout $450?)
Some of you may know me from my gauge cluster mod. I'm in need of a few extra $$$, so I'm putting it up for sale. GTA area only.
Pics:

Full Cluster

Close-up of gauges
To give you an idea of the complexity:

Tachometer Gauge Insert - installed behind gauge faces.

Speedometer Gauge Insert.

Example of the wiring madness

Another pic of the Speedometer Insert
Right now the cluster reads 148,500kms. But, if you're going to install this you probably aren't going to sell the car with it. I'll install the cluster in your ride (I think it'll only fit 01-02 Civics and ELs - someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'll also provide a warranty on workmanship - if any of the LEDs burn out, I'll replace them. FYI: Prior to selling I'm going to replace the white MPH leds with blue ones, due to some wiring and light isolation issues I couldn't resolve.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Given the uniqueness of this - I'm expecting decent bids... I'm not expecting that much, but this thing is my baby and I'll need a decent offer on the table in order to sell it...

I used 4 LEDs per needle. I completely drilled/chopped/altered the clear plastic part under the gauge faces. I set it up so 4 LEDs lit up each needle - (16 LEDs for the needles alone).
I've had 2 inquiries now about the asking price. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how much to ask. There are lots of factors here,
- has high miles on it (148,500)
- It's 4 1/2 years old.
+ Lots of LEDs, probably more than any other 7th gen cluster in existance. I just re-counted based on the pics. Total is 102 LEDs.
+ Lots of time put into this. Worked on this for six weeks, averaging 8+ hours per week, sometimes more.
A new cluster is about $400 (?), plus the LEDs ($75), plus my time, minus the wear/kms on the cluster... Like I said in my original post, I'll only part with it if I get a decent offer that makes me I feel compensated for my time. PM me if you have an offer...

I'd love to do a DIY. I took lots of in-process pics. It'd just be a matter of finding the time to compile it and have someone host it for me. Maybe this summer I'll get around to it.

Trust me, the thought has and still does cross my mind. I just put up another FS thread, offering my LED services.
As far as making insane 102 LED clusters, I'd have to get sufficient interest to make it worth while. I think if I was to start over, I could do a cluster in about 16-25 hours, depending on complexity. Making ten clusters wouldn't take me 160-250 hours, that is I could probably crank out ten units in about 75-100tops hours of work.
A lot of the time I spent on my cluster was design and re-doing things in a better, brighter way.
On that note, would anyone in the GTA be interested in getting their own clusters modified? I'd need a deposit first, say like $100 and then the balance due on delivery. Much of the work involves making up the LED inserts - see pics above. Hooking them up is relatively simple. I dunno - any feedback/interest on this?
