Angry You guys/gals will not like this too much

Check out the specs for the Asia area (Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand) Civic Sedan. Almost all the countries listed get the 1.7L sohc vtec, and get this "rear disc brakes" !!! Unbelieveable !!! If this ever makes it to our shorelines that would be great, but knowing how Honda North America runs probally not. But then again we have the Acura EL. Opinions ???

The Veloz is the same as the Si with the exception of a skirt kit. The only Civic with rear disc is the SiR trim.

The Acura EL 1.7's have 4 wheel disc brakes with the ABS and EBD.

Screw that. How about the fact that Thailand has the civic that we've all been wishing Honda will update our civics with. The 2.0L iVTEC engine. And no I don't think its the Si, but a regular civic with a 2.0L engine. I know at least one of those Asian countries has the 2.0L in their civic coming out for 2004 (like already out or soon). There was a thread about it awhile back.

Some of the Asian countries already have the 2.0 L i-vtec. I guess we have it too the SiR(Si) hatch, but it would be nice to see it in the coupes or sedans. But as usual North America always gets shafted with cars.

If was to buy a new car, I would go with the SiR for two reasons. Unique very very rare not too many of them. and it is a civic !! And there are too many rsx's on the road.

I agree that the SIR is a pretty sweet car. I thought I buy the dam thing until I saw that the shifter was coming out of the consol. That just totally turned me off!!!!!

The dash mounted shifter is the one of the most unique aspects of that car.
