Question Best trim (LX, EX) to do swap with?

If I were to ever do a swap, I'm wondering which would be better to do a swap from?
I've currently got a Canadian Si Coupe (Our EX equivalent) but I'm considering selling my car and getting a 2004 coupe.

I know the LX is lighter and is ABS really necessary if you've got grippy tires? I'm not worried about winter driving all that much. Any major pros and cons deciding between the LX/EX assuming a swap *WILL* be performed?

Semi-off topic but does anyone have a 7.5 gen with a swap yet?

Doesnt really matter. I like having the ABS there, but some people dont. The sunroof is a nice thing too. Its mainly personal preference...the performance is gonna be neck and neck...hardly enough difference to tell. Get an EX, then you can buy my wreckd car for 9-10grand and get the motor swap done with every part that you would need, and TEIN coilovers, rims and tires, headlights, grill, short shifter and bunch of other stuff.

Sorry to hear about the car. But I've already got an EX (well, Si in Canada) but I've done some nasty stuff to it already. Had a bit of body work done (not perfect) as well and other stuff which I won't get into detail with.

I wanted this swap done with a 7.5 gen Civic.

Or maybe I should just save some $$$ and get an RX-8.

I say, sell your car and everything on it, and do what im doing. S13 240SX with red top SR20DET motor swap. Ahhh! Turbocharged RWD. You can get a S13 for about $1000, and the motor swap will cost about $4000 (thats motor, and install). $5000, and you have a car in stock form that does a 14 flat.

I hope you don't have to get that inspected, because the SR20 will not pass emmisions and sight tests...

The lower the trim the better. The DX has less insulation then the LX and the LX has less insulation then the EX. This causes the car to be lighter giving you better quarter mile times and better handling. Also, the sunroof is also bad because it is extremely heavy and causes to center of gravity to raise. Remeber, weight to power ratio.

just get the turbo it will cost a lot less, like you'll save 4.5 grand and you will smoke the k20a like nothing, but having all that torque is nice too. not for 4.5 grand you can get some internals and stage 2 turbo and be way faster than any n/a car probably. well most of them

depends how much money you want/have to spend

usually most go for the lower-end models due to the fact that they are cheaper and come with a 5speed coming standard from the factory

and it depends on if you want any extras

lx comes w/ power everything (i believe)

ex comes w/ everything the lx does, plus a sunroof

HondaLuver will become famous soon enough
DX all the way

reason
1. its lighter, a better power to weight ration

period. no extra stuff to weight it down, no power anything, to slow you down
