Nice build. Engine pics? I don't really like the grill, broadway mirror, and definitely not feelin the gauges. For all of that money invested in c2 gauges a mounting panel or something should have been used. It just looks unfinished and tacky the way it sits now, clean it up and you will probably get more points at shows (I'm assuming that is what you do). Also what is with the baby seat on the vent? lol.

Good luck getting that venom intake mani to work. And I sincerely hope you do not plan on using a throttle body made for the d16. It will not work. I fried my sensor ground inside my EMS trying to get it to work. I don't really want to explain all the tech details of why this happened, but trust me when I tell you, you need to use a d17 TB and IACV.

hey. great set up. if you dont mind me asking, what did it cost to build your drive train. i really want to do a turbo set up on my 04, but want to get a realistic idea of what i would have to spend.

Bwhahaha... Called out and shot down. The outside is a little ricey.. and I'm not feeling the gauges either, but good luck with the rest of the build. I hope you do get the venom intake and TB setup working. I was using a d16y8 mani and TB and the IACV fried something inside my EMS box, so I had to switch to the d17 TB and y8 mani.

How do you have fun if its a show car? Sweet build though I hope you keep it for a long time. Alot of guys on here build up their car only to sell it or part it out shortly after . How is the AEM EMS working out for you. I think only like 2 ppl on here got it to run functionally so maybe it's all about the tuner in the long run.

Re: my d17a2 built wit turbo project still under construction
I have a 02 civic ex d17a2, besides intake and exhaust the motor is stock. i wanted to do a t3/t4 kit and was wondering if im risking damage to my engine, a safe psi to run on until further engine upgrades, and some good upgrades. thanks

nice ride, my criticisms are pretty much all the same as everyone else's but overall it's a great build...im impressed. how did you do your trunk setup like that? when it comes to interior builds, i.e. subs and what-not, i don't know anything , hell i don't even know how to wire a stereo, lame, i know but i am no good with wiring, just confuses me real easily, who knows, maybe i just don't do it enough to really understand it

Re: my d17a2 built wit turbo project still under construction
nice car! i think you need to make the gauges flush with the dash though, it does look tacky the way they are set up. maybe a piece of sheet metal and have the gauges sit in them? i think it would look a lot cleaner if the rear trunk lid had no civic badge and if you had the cf trim piece as well. if your doin show you gotta get some nicer rims too some volk or something..
in addition to that, those are pretty high numbers for just a t3/t4 IMHO! nice. i cant figure out why your boost peaks at your redline and not earlier. you can probably get some more low end if your turbo was running smoother.

my 1st turbo kit was one of teh old SF kits, but with that i ran mine at 9 psi and put down a noticeable difference and i ran it like that for about a yr...my muddy had teh same kit and he ran 8 psi, and we both beat on our cars and had no probs......wat sort of upgrades are u looking for.....any further questions check out Dezod, i made the mistake of buyn my old parts from another company, but now its all bout teh d17 gurus....
