As far as the front engine mount goes, I did buy an OEM type S front engine mount and install it, it fits perfectly. As far as do you need it I am not sure, but for $70 why not. I mean there is a place for it for a reason even the low hp D17 has 4 engine mounts. IMO the front engine mount should be installed, it just adds for that much more stability and less stress on the drive train, suspension, and many more parts of the car.

reason you dont need the front mount is because the hasport mounts are solid rubber filled and motor has close to zero shift with there mount.
now if we were using stock mounts where they are not soild filled then yes using the front mount is required. thats why hasport only included 3 mounts with the kit....
yes there is 4 mounts and a place for everything.. but that only exists when its stock and direct from the factory... aftermarket upgrades have a difference otherwise

I was not aware that it would not fit with the K24, good to know. Atleast with my setup, as much stress as constant autox/track days all with R-comps put on everything, my engine side bushings already need replaced on my hasport mounts. I am even going to throw urethane inserts in my front mount to stiffen things up even more. Maybe it is all in vain, I guess we will see if that engine side mount holds up this year.

^ Never heard of that company in that URL but Koyo is good.
It all depends what you are doing with your car... Do you really need an aluminum radiator?

very nice X. I've been looking for that shifter comparison for a while. I noticed that you said the revo is .75" shorter than the rsx shifters. Isn't there two different revo shifters. I have the revo for an 01 civic and it is .75" shorter than the OEM unit. Since the civic shifter is already shorter than the rsx shifter, wouldn't that make the revo for the civic 1.5" shorter than the rsx shifter?

I've read this thread and a few others but I've still got a question.
Basically I have an ES1, and a chance to buy an RSX with a lot of body damage. Now if I wanted to swap both front and rear subframes complete w/all suspension (incl 5 lug swap/brakes, axles) could it be done?
I did search, and I know I can use the front subframe, which means the front suspension (along with the K20) will swap in, but the only info on the rear is that RSX lower control arms won't work with the Civic subframe, but if the DC5 rear subframe bolts in the control arms will too. I'd be grabbing as much of the interior as possible as well (seats, console, dash, gauges, etc.)
Anyone know if the DC5 rear subframe will bolt into an ES1 chassis?

I'll paypal $20 to whoever can answer this one, if it matters, the donor is an 05 RSX Type S and the recipient is a 2002 LX Sedan.

Not trying to jack the thread, but I have a EM2/Kswap header exhuast setup that has been proffessionally modified to fit, just bolt it on and go. This is a great part for you Kswappers that will save some time and $:

As i go along let me know if i missed anything so i can add it in
Also if anyone has some pics i can add then that would help too
**note- this is for anyone.. im not on here everyday. So if you need help or something im on my site everyday XproductionZ.com :: Ver. 3.0 on the forums if you need it.
UPDATE 1/7/2007 (Slightly Updated)
**also note that the same thing applies to people who do the k24 swap. Just remember that if you use a k24 that the passenger side mount is different from the k20 passenger mount. If you already have a k20 in your car and wish to use a k24. Hasport and i think Hybrid can supply only the k24 passenger mount so that way it sits the motor lower so it can fit in our cars
**If you need a relay to do the the wire harness for the O2 sensor i can get those for you
Mods done to the car in the swap
Hondata
Type S manifold and Base TB.. (took out the dual intake runners)
Megan Race headers
Megan Race Downpipe
Custom 2.5 Piping
Megan Race Exhaust
Custom 3in Intake
and the Dyno
UPDATE 4/29/07 - Read Below
An RBC manifold on a K20 and/or K24 using Hasport mounts will fit the 01-05 chassis. Just did the swap yesterday. Took out the K20a and put in a K24.
However you will need to trim away at the upper radiator support area to make it fit. You have to trim about 3/4 an inch away just to make it clear.
Minor UPDATE 11/24/07:
For those of you who use a relay other than the type listed in the DIY. There are aftermarket relays but they all use a universal number to identify the pins..
Some of you might remember this image of the relay pins..
Heres is what each number stands for:
1 - 30
2 - 87
3 - 86
4 - 87a
5 - 85\

I've noticed you trimed the radiator to fit the manifold, now is there any shorter one that you can use without cutting the radiator, or a aftermarket rad that is thiner ?.
You have one of the best DIY on the net, too bad you don't have a hi-def how-to DVD on k20 swap. I would buy it for sure.

No it is not necessary to remove the radiator support.
He trimmed the radiator support area to fit an RBC (06&up SI/euro accord)manifold. The K20a2/Z1 comes with the PRB (rsx type s/civic si) manifold which will fit without trimming. The PRC (integra type R) will also fit without trimming
