race spots
ok, i live in the chicago area and in the past, the race spots were down at china town and dodie road (175th street i think). well, for the last year and a half, i havent gone down to see any races because everyone kept getting busted (it was around the time when fast and the furious part one came out). so, i went to china town yesterday around 12:50 a.m. and no one was there...LITERALLY!!! so does anyone here know where the races happen now? and does anyone know if anything still happens at dodie road???

Hey guys, I live in Naperville Illinois, can anyone tell me how to get to Dodie Road, driving directions...I've never been before, is it worth going down there and will you get busted even if your just watching races, not actually racing in them.

wow, a girl wants to go huh? well i havent been there in a long time, but you have to go 90 east for about 25-30 miles. since you live in naperville its probably farther for you. then you have to look for the sign that says stoney island exit, i think its 175th street but i'm not sure. then when you get there the races are sorta adjacent to a CTA bus station. you'll have to drive into the dark/trees area. if people are there, then it shouldnt be too hard to find.
oh and you could get busted if you're jsut watching races. one of my friends got a ticket for being there last year.

Yea I'd like to go, you saying no girls you've know have wanted to go or like cars? Just currious. I love imports, after I had my expierences with my Found on Road Dead Ford I decided to take my b'f's advice and get a Honda...love it even though it's a little slower than his. That sucks you can get busted for just watching, I don't see what's wrong with it.

Take it to the track people. (yeaaaaah) lol ..
The spots where peepz race for cash, well..that info is hard to come by, you always gotta know right peepz. The stuff thats happening on 42nd & Pulaski or Doddie Rd, thats played out.
Its not organized, peepz are standing too close to the action, cars flying 70-90 mph and you got peepz jumping around 2 ft from it, i mean its childish. I gave those spots up long time ago.
I've been to few (cant name locations) spots where people do it for a lot of cash, and thats something worth watching. Its organized, not a whole lot of people plus you have all the bad *** rides, not just civics and neons with weld on mufflers and rims. Still, i love street racing and adrenaline of it, i still ocassionaly do it, but...take it to the track. Thats my advice. Its not worth racing out there. You work hard for your money, then you invest that money in the car, and then u take the car out one weekend night for some stupid *** street racing, then you risk of getting your **** ****ed up (in a lot of ways)..and all that for what ? so peepz can say "wow that **** is fast". Aint nobody gonna remember you night after anyways. Its pointless. Like they say "if you aint got the slip, it aint legit"
. See you on the street somewhere ...
