Hey guys,
All of this snow has made me crazy!! I can't wait for our first meet of 2004. Partially because of the snow, but mostly because I have never met anyone from the Chicagoland area, that belongs to this site.

I was thinking the streets of Woodfield, or a park somewhere for a BBQ?
But I am in college right now, so unfortunately my first meet will probably have to wait until the end of May, beginning of June.

I hate driving out to the burbs. Chicago is one of the finest cities in the world and we meet in the burbs. Oh well, I know this spring it'll be out in bumble-**** somewhere like an hour out from Chicago. Don't mind me, I am just ranting. No disrespect to ANY of the folks who live in the burbs. I went to HS in the burbs but have been a cit boy my entire life.

Just think... night crusing would be fun on Lake Shore Drive or on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan)... but I understand. Parking is a bitch, but there are a TON of places where there are lots for parking/eating and hanging out. The lakeside of Chicago has parking and miles and miles of parks to BBQ on. If we don't wanna BBQ we can plan it at diner/restuarant that has a big enough lot.

Remember this is just my opinion. The city area to me is a hundred times more thrilling. Plus, we'll turn some MAJOR heads. Just think about it fellas.

And I bought my civic in Crystal Lake... I think Crystal Lake Honda. The cheapest deal I could find ANYWHERE for a new manual civic. So don't get me wrong, I love my burbs and all.

Crystal Lake Honda's reputation sucks, although I know a couple of people that have had success with getting cheap deals.

I have to admit though, last time I was in for a routine oil change, they did that, replaced my windshield washer fluid, inspected and took measurements on my tires and brakes. So who knows, maybe they are trying to turn things around.

I bought mine at McGrath Honda in Elgin, and they were great people to deal with.

I second the motion for April or May, and in the city. If we meet at Linclon Park. We can take a whole section of inner lake shore drive, do a BBQ, and cruz lake shore down to the Mile on Michigan. Besides there are lots of places with in walking distance to eat, drink, or have a hot coco for all you youngsters. No offense intended

The only prob with doing it in the city is trying to find a place where we can all park together. That why the meets are usually done in the burbs

Spring meet sounds good. A meet in the city would be way cool, if we could only find a place to park all our cars. Dunno how busy the street parking is in Grant Park. Sometimes it dosn't look like anybody is parked there (in certain areas).

AR and all you other city dwellers: If you can find a good place for the meet, that would be great. Personally, I feel a city meet would be so much more cool than a 'burb meet.

Hey i can throw out a place.... How about my Gas station.. Its a Marithon Gas Station, Its located on the corner of Sheridan and Howard st... Let me kno what you guys think... the lot is pretty big and if you guys don't liek that place, we can meet up by the park on the other side of the street... Manny

NO...... Rockford is actually still pretty far west. Buffalo Grove is about 7 minutes north of Schaumburg on Rt. 53

Behind Hooters is good. Seems to be where most things are done....
