hey all. new to the forum. i see that some people are going turbo. i was just wondering if i would be able to get it, even tho i have all stock parts except a catback exhaust system and aem cold air intake. what is the best turbo to get? what is sf? and how much does it cost? hopefully not over 5g. any help would be awesome. thx

it claims 185whp and 190ft/lb on regular gasoline. is that credible?
and it says it starts at $3100. do you think you get the numbers above w/ the base kit? or thats the numbers w/ multiple upgrades?

hey shones or anybody, do you guys know if this guy is legit? cuz i was planning to buy that sf turbo kit from him, he says he changed one thing, the fuel kit, but i have no idea what that means. is it good to buy used turbos from other people?

so that is a modified sf turbo kit? i'm interested, but i'm not able to see the pics. i think the links are dead. is there another way you can show pics of it? and will it fit on a '01 civic?

it is modified sf kit, but the only thing different is the fuel kit. I bought the whole kit from sf, but somehow the sf fuel kit doesn't work. So i get rid of it and using the mf2. If u want the sf fuel kit, i can send the broken one back to them and have them fixed and send it back to you. Just make sure it is not running lean with the sf fuel kit. About the pics, the links are dead for some reasons. You can go to my memeber ride page and check it.

is your car a '01? cuz mine is and i dunno if it will fit on my car if yours is not an '01. have you dyno'd the car w/ the turbo on? how much whp and torque is it? is it close to what they claim?

It should fit 2001 no problem. I dynoed the car at 147hp and 152 tq, which is a lot less than what normal people claim because i have automatic. Because the insuffieient of the tranny, i lose about 30 horepower at the transmittion. But it still fast tho. If you have mannual, you will be able to make 175 to the wheel at 7psi.

Just be careful if you're buying. Members are waiting many months to get one built. Others have reported numerous fitment probs. It's also true that alot of people here have nice, working kits. It's alot of money to spend, so just giving you a heads up.
yea, he lives in atlanta so i can't pick it up myself. too far. he is offering 2600 shipped for the entire kit. but he has it on his '02 civic lx and my car is a '01 ex. not sure if it will fit my car. does anyone know if it would fit? or do i have to contact stafford fabrication?
I think it should fit wiht out any problems the 2002 lx is a D17 engine except wiht a little less HP but the header and everything is still the same if your not sure jsut go to a dealer and check out a 02 ot 03 Lx the engine should look the same! but $2600 shipped for the kit and he only puts out bearly 150hp humm something doesnt sound right aobut htat even if it is an automatic it should matter 30hps! i this he screwd it up wiht changing the fuel line!!!!
does anyone have the www.maxrev.com turbo kit its a t3 tO4B turbo that comes wiht it putting an aftermarket fuel line wiht it it should be as good as SF but i heard it had some bugs not sure yet PM me if ya know naythiing aobut the Maxrev kit i'm thinking aobut getting it jsut cuz i dont feel like waitin 2 months for a SF kit and then having a problem wiht it as some memebers did!
anyone else aware of the group buy going on right now for the sf kit? 2725 + 90 for s+h... i'm thinking about getting it... but i dont really know alot about turbos, if someone could explain some faq's about them, that'd be awesome.
ahhh my bad man. i did the search right after and found out alot about it. but thx.
however, i was also wondering if anyone else is looking into this group buy. truehonda seems pretty cool and trustworthy and he's gonna call me today to answer any questions i have. but is anyone else getting this kit?

go SF... you will have no regrets, i have seenthe others in person, NONE as clean, NONE with the quality, NONE with the power... none of the other kits are putting out times and dynos like SFs ... not to mention i can do install for you for small fee... hehehhe./... i know these kits in and out, i help people over the phone all the time... i practically work there... LOL
u know how to install this kit? 'cuz i'm planning to buy it w/ the group buy at the discounted price of roughly $2800 shipped. 'cuz ordering it directly from them would cost $3600 shipped. how much would you charge for the installation? but might not be for a while, 'cuz shipping takes 3-5 weeks w/ this deal.
hey all i have an 02 ex with an extreme kit for 2600 shipped, and i love it. i put it on the mustang dino and at 6psi iwas putting down 164 whp. it's a ball bearing turbo so it reacts really nice. downshift and bam your boostin. putting the kit in is not for begginners, i had to do some modifications to make it work. like the vacume holes on the injector interface did not line up so i drilled the hole on the edge to widen it out just a notch to line up with the throttle body vacume holes. and the piping is not precise. you will have to fabricate for this to work on the 7th gen due to the pullys in the way.
for the price you'll have a few bucks left over to get what you need.
