dam, good luck on finding a nice type-R.
its gonna be hard to find a non-abused one becuz if u think about it...
its a type-r. why would u buy that car for. its fast n sporty n all that.
if i were to check out a used integ, it would be a adult owned gsr98+
type-r owners will most likely race the **** out of their car. mostly when its modded

Finding an unmolested R is impossible. Try finding a low-mileage one. Have you tried Honda-Tech.com?
I hope you won't be too picky about color/year. But more importantly, I hope you won't park it outside either. That car gets too much attention from theives.
I had a dream I stole an ITR - Gone In 60 Seconds style.

If you find one, you find one. Just make sure it's service record has been documented. Ask yourself, who DOESN'T drive a Honda hard? And out of all Hondas, at least that one is meant to take the abuse further than any other US-Spec Integra/Civic.

a type r external bodywise is just oem front lip with a yellow paint or black or white paint with type r decal on the side and rear and red emblems. but why would u want a type r? u can't find one unmolested. i bet jay leno would have one that isn't but he wont sell it to u.

It's still an LS.
And the Type R will still run circles around it.
I'd like to add one thing...
Why is it that when people talk about a stock car, they throw out the fact that a modded car would be better? Well, duh - that's why it's modded, right? If that's the case, SF turbo D17 > Stock B18C5. SF turbo Civic > SRT-4, S2000, G35, Mustang GT.
Get where I'm coming from? It's pointless to compare modded to stock. It's doing nothing but stating the obvious.

There is no such thing as a 1999 ITR unless you live in Canada, Japan, or Europe.
97 one is teh ugly. 97 98 99 all in white or black. 01 has yellow and black only
97 just didn't have the new rear bumper, although the front looked like a pre-98+. It was different than the other Integras.
Colorwise:
The 97 only came in white.
98 came in white and black.
00 and 01 were only black and yellow.

Some people give praise to the 97 since it's the "original Type R". I'd have to agree - it didn't come with anything extra (on the lines of a/c, and radio, etc) as I look at it as the truest Integra Type R.
Some people would say the 98s were the best.
Some say the 00 and 01s were the fastest.
Sounds like you should do some research. You can learn a lot at Honda-Tech, though.
