it's an asian based movie. not sure if people remember but the same producers had a movie out last year called "debut". its only out in select theatres right now(should be out in more this weekend tho). I think its pretty cool to see an asian based movie out. me being asian myself, i'll be watching it to support them. dont get me wrong, i'm not being racist or anything, just prideful(? couldnt find the word i was looking for).

i never heard of it til you mentioned it, but i went to check it out at yahoo movies. it looks good from the trailer. too bad it hasn't opened big yet; there are only a few theaters here showing it. but tell us how it is if you go see it. i've been on a bad-movie streak and i'm in the mood for something good

AHAHAA. . i saw the previews david. .like last week too. . and my homegirl and i are trying to find out what movie theater is showing it. . she tried searching on moviefone.com and the only place that showed it was in gardena. . next to me. . not in torrance, which is pretty strange since a lot of torrance is korean. . southbay, or la. . but im sure if i search again by fri. a lot will pop up. . but yeahs! it's an asian based movie about these dudes in high school i think, and they get involved in crime to show people how cool they are or something like that. . they wanna get away from their asian based heritige and what not (spelling unsure) and then they get into trouble cuz the did crimes. .that's the plot. . . but hopefully david imma see it this weekend too, MEET?? muahahahah but yeahs. . this movie . . i doubt will show that asian's are great entertainers. . prolly show the asian tradition of being "careful" on social life. . meaning how we watch what we do and say in public. .that these teens that rebel will show that asians aren't always a push over and that quiet. . w00t w00t

hell i'm just happy it doesnt show your typikal hollywood asian actors, FOBs. finally got some asian-americans up on there and not just asians.

i thought it was pretty good. The movie portrays the american asian in high skool today and how they go through the struggles of american skools and peer presures that we all go through today. Yah it could of been better and i think that there should of been more dept to the story then some type of make believe life of a asian american. But it was good and im always supporting anything asian american so i dont mind paying to go watch it. Its not all what u think in the trailer thats for sure.

Saw it opening weekend like two weekends ago. Thought it was pretty good for an asian movie. The director was featured on the Sunday times calendar section a week ago. The opening weekend was only at 4 locations so I had to go watch it at the block, but now I can just go down the street and watch it...hahha..I think that they were testing it to see if there was a market for it, so they can decided to open it at more theatres or not. Overall 8 out of 10. Plus that one asian guy from American Pie was in it, that guy cracks me up. lol

I liked it quite a bit. But I didn't go in the theater knowing too much about it either, so it was a nice surprize. The audience I saw it with was all asian UCLA students. I was funny because you could recognize some shooting locations that were on campus.

just saw it.. i thought it was pretty good, not badd for one of the first asian films.. kinda weird.. the part right before the ending was good but then ending killed it.. but ya it was ok.. definitely worth watching still

bringing this thread back around . i just saw it, too. i liked it, but you're right; it was weird....disturbing, kinda. the end didn't really KILL it, but i wasn't completely satisfied . it was still a good movie, though. i liked some of the techniques they used in the editing room (just the general time-lapse, fast forward, etc...).

7 out of 10 good 'nuff?
