So this is your first year of law school?
Good luck, i know the lower ranked law schools over here (inlcuding Chapman) dont have the big firms looking for students, but rather the students end up working mainly for the riverside D.A. and some small firms based in riverside and orange county.
I dunno, maybe try some networking, apply for some good internships 1st and 2nd yr, any way good luck man.....and in 3 yrs when ur graduating and i am gettin into a law school, you can put in a good word for me *winkity wink wink*

This school isn't a high ranked one, but hey, its ABA approved, and accredited, so thats all that matters to me. Im not completely sure which type of law im going in, i could change my mind after my first year, and decide i want to do real estate law, or *heaven forbid* tax law. I just don't know, and since its in Orange County, im pretty sure i can find some pretty nice places to work. I don't need to work in a well-known company/firm, that sort of thing doesn't really matter. As long as im doing the work that i want, i'll be fine.
The only thing i can recommend to you now, is practice taking the LSAT as much as you can, with practice tests and whatnot. Also, get good grades in college. My grades sucked, (had a 2.6 overall) cuz i switched majors after i failed a semester, so all those Ds & Fs stayed on my transcripts.... Try to maintain at least a 3.5, higher if you can.
