its a tax "return" or REFUND
people tend to spend it as if they just receive some income from somewhere..
its not. its money you overpaid. its 0% free interest loan you gave to the government and now they're REFUNDING IT TO YOU
and if ure rolling i guess u can blow it.
smart thing to do is to save up or pay down whatever debts u have, then if u got money left over.. treat urself to a part or two if u want.
lol. see u think its wasting money too since u said "pissing" the money on parts.
thats why we're a debt nation, with mentality like that. man if I can put away 6K right now to get 20K for sure later, I'LL DO IT WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT
money does not grow on tree. you'll have to STOP working eventually. you'll retire eventually. unless u want to work from paycheck to paycheck for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.. and WORRY ABOUT MONEY in the future..
trust me, 20 years from now, you'll rather wish you have 20K than the 6K from 20 years ago.
so what if he spends it now or later? he's just giving advice that he thinks is best..
UNPLAN money is AWESOME, yes.
UNPLAN expenses is NOT awesome.
he gave the advice to save/invest not because he thinks he should HOARD money.. its because you'll NEED it later.
anyways, my suggestion: save 80-90% or use it wisely.. and treat urself or loved ones for all the hardwork by blowing 10-20% on something worthwhile.
maybe he knows what to do with the 6k already anyway.

If cars is his passion then i dont see a damn thing wrong with pissing the money on parts.
