Wasted a Protoge wagon

This guy was revving his Protoge Wagon manumatic at a stop light

me: auto or stick?
him: both. the manumatic
me: cool
him: what did you do to your car?
me: just exhaust, you?
him: just intake
me: yeah it sounds good man.

light turns green and we both punch it.

He got the jump on me, but i was suprised i easily caught up to him and and his car couldnt keep up, got him by like 2 and a half car lengths. i know theye not fast cars, but I thought they had more power than that.

anyway just wanted to share

(GO VTEC!)

Those "wagons" will outhandle you everyday of the week and twice on sundays. A decent driver and it will be a driver's race on 1/4. The extra weight on the Pro5 is accounted for with the 130/135. I should know i used to own one.

The mazdaspeeds w/ the T25 (170/165) is more in the range of the spec-v.

Yup, definately quicker off the line - more tq, but after that it's a drivers race. The peak torque comes at 3000rpms too, so it's there right off the line.

The protege5 should be about the same as the civic. However, I think the protege5 is slightly slower but not by much. It would be a driver's race with an edge to the vic.

My friend got his hands on a protoge speed and its sweeeet. But to be cool another one of our friends went out and bought the wagon. He tossed and exhaust on it and all i really have is an intake. Same results here with the wagon. I'm interested to see how bad my civ would get burned against the speed. (LoL)... Nice Kill man
