dont try and drift...

for the love of god..about 30-45 minutes ago i was taking my friend to his car at the highschool. we always slide around this one turn going really fast...well...today was my last time doing it. we were going down the hill about 30-40mph, i hit the ebrake and we went into the slide...too fast. i went up over the curb and hit a stopsign...not cool. i quickly got out to see the damage...it bent my front honda plate in half and it made a bad indentation to the side. kind of a bumb. it needs major touch up paint. i also ****ed up my front left wheel and tire. warped it comepletly. ive learned my lesson...dont do stupid **** in FF cars like drifting...it just ****s you up.

well this may have turned out for the better. my parents said that since i was saving up for rims anyway they would throw in like $200 to help me out. no can someone tell me a good way to burn out my tires? i want to make good use of them for like a video or something before i ditch them. ive tried using the ebrake, revving up, and dropping the clutch but they only spin for about 4 seconds...i want them to spin for like 30 seconds...help me out.

In the burn out contests con't they put some kind of slick solvent on the pavement? Gas or Kerosene might work, but might be dangerous though. Maybe some liquid soap?

Problem is, if you are really burning and suddenly get traction you could tear something up in your driveline.

have 2 big guys holding ur car back from the windows! lol and then burn-out and hopefully, if they are strong enough, the car wont go anywhere but will still be spinning... either that or put it in reverse and let the car roll back a little and while its still rolling back rev it and dump the clutch... u will spin more than just reving it in place.

In that case, just tie the car to a fence post.

Better yet, don't burn your tires. Just give them to a homeless person.

Use bleach on the pavement you are trying to spin on. It works the best. One of my friends spun for about 45 sec before he started to move.

i hate people that just slide around a parking lot and say they were drifting. A drift is a controlled slide not just losing the back end and going with it.

well.. which rim was it? cause if it was the front one.. u might wanna jack ur car up and compare each side.. to see if anything else got damaged... cause when i slid into a curb i had to replace the steering knuckle, the lower control arm, the rim and get the car alligned.. it was not cheap.. parts alone costed me about $400 and the alignment was $60... plus my car was out of commision for like a week...

Umm isnt it impossible to drift a FF car and why ru trying to quote unquote drift when you dont even know how to do a burn out seems like your skipping a few steps do you even know how to heal toe and down shift if not you should prolly pick up the basics first. and its not drifting i think we refer to it as *** dragging.

in the burnout contests at car shows I believe that they just wet the pavement with a garden hose. I could be mistaken though

You can only do a burnout for 4 seconds? Just rev to 3 grand. Drop the clutch. Yank the e-brake. You're all set. Keep on the gas until clouds develop. Keep it at a reasonable rpm. Say 4 grand. You'll kill the tires in no time. LOL

rub vasaline on your tires or use soapy water, it would help too if you were facing uphill a little. do all 3 and you could burn out till the tires blow.
