civic ex 03 vs lancer 01 vs mystery car!
ok so i was driving home on the 60w.. and on the phone with my grl and then i saw a 01 lancer.. yellow and quite ricey.. exhaust and possibly intake.. and on the back i saw a decal "Evolution VII" which was complemented with a HUGE universal aluminum spoiler.. i started laughing while on the phone and pointed it out to my friend riding shotgun.. so then i told my grl i'd call her back and decided to try to have some fun.. well.. stock 03' ex.. couldn't have too much fun.. so by this time he had ran up front a bit.. and so i caught up with him.. and pulled right next to him. and gave him a look back.. we were both going about 60 at this time.. and then we were off.. i gun'd past him at first.. almost 1 1/2 cars.. and then he caught right back up.. i was like daayum.. i didnt know these things were somewhat fast.. and he started pulling on me.. so we kept switchin back and forth.. until all of a sudden.. a WRX came and conquered.. u heard the exhaust from behind.. and then the roar of him next to use for a split second.. and then he was gone.. lol good times.. this was my very first time in a "race" and it was pretty cool.. i can't wait to throw some bolton's to my car to be able to "hold my weight" a little bit more.. heeh.. well anywho.. just thought i'd share my newb story with you all.. *1St poSt!*
edit: i later was informed by my friend that the lancer was an es 2001 model.. riding 120 ponies.. i guess his exhaust n' intake helped him to keep up?

Rep Power: 339 Good way to start posting, with a street encounter. WRX's with that lumpy exhaust note, with BOV... cant mistake them for anything else. Lancer's, excluding EVO, are slow... guess that intake and exhaust did help

Rep Power: 0 Where was the mystery car... or was that the WRX??? ANYWAY, lancers blowzor, they're much heavier than our cars, and they don't have that much more power... Only 120, out of a 2.0 liter... pathetic.... give honda 2.0 liters to play with and they'll make a much better engine.
