01 Civic DX Roasted Ford Mustang GT Automatic
Ok most people are probley comment badly against this but who cares. Remember: Racing 90%Mental, 10% Physical.
Ok i am driving around one night, and this Ford comes up next too me reving up his engine with his gf. I just sit there and just blow it off. Then i just peal out as soon as the light turns green. Then this horriable Ford driver comes up and tries to beat me, he flooring pretty hard, i hate too see his maintiance bill. But anyways he just comes up fast, i push it in a little more knowing my Civic will probley lose if i dont think of something. Well luckely it another light came up he almost turns white because of his poor brake system skidding too a stop. I am just sitting there like nothing wrong. He seem pissed off because he reving even harder. I am just thinking too myself, poor guy, he just dosnt get it. So then again i just forget it and decided not to peal out this time, well he did, and it was a poor peal out, all i could hear was an ugly engine sound. Then i got that energy rush that we all get when we think we can take something on. Well i basically just floor it, were neck and neck and coming up close too some cars, i skid left, skid right as soon as i get a open space, had a half inch between some cars. Finally made it up front, he was pretty ticked by now, and tried forceing drivers out of the way. Well luckely he didnt catch up, I just do my normal screem of "Roasted, Dont mess with Honda" . By the time we get too another light i could see his gf shaking and him pretty pissed off. So he gets into the turning lane and does a U-Turn back. How sad is that, an Entry Level Civic, beating a six cyclinder work of Ford. I still think Honda four cyclinder engine is more powerful then anything Ford can makes. People need to remember that it all about gear ratio and not about how much horse power your car can put out. [hr]a new mustang GT auto or 5speed is better in performance in everyway over the civic. handles better brakes better accelerates better. There is a key difference it was made to be performance. The civic was made to be a entry level car and be long lasting car. Can a civic increase its performance, yes. Now here's where my problem lies... "I still think Honda four cyclinder engine is more powerful then anything Ford can makes." Yeah... 260hp and I'm not sure how much torque vs. 127 hp and 110lbs of torque... the weight difference doesn't make up for that. I'm not saying you didn't go farther faster than him. But if it was a GT, there is probably a Mustang forum around the net with a thread about a ricer in a Civic DX doing stupid burnouts against a V8 he had no chance against.

No one ever said winning had to be just simply passing the other person, the race went out for a stretch of time, 4 minutes to be exact. You could tell he was a poor driver, i think there too many people supporting Mustangs, i rather not get into a battle, but anything that comes from Ford has Piece of Crap written all of it, or Throttled back junk. I dont give them one bit of credit.

Dude, you weren't racing a GT if you beat him. My friend has a 2000 Stang V6 auto and I can just barely beat him depending on how good I launch. If the guy you raced was a V8 then maybe he didn't know you were racing.

i totally agree with you in the fact that fords are crap, but im pretty sure a DX cant beat a GT due to the fact that the GT has 260hp to the flywheel.

i dont think even a turbroed Dx running at max safe boost would beat a GT

Rep Power: 0 just cause he has duals doesnt mean he's a GT....and even if it was a 2003 v6 and an auto...u still would of had trouble with him unless u had some kind of power adder and he was bone stock and a crappy driver....and if it was a GT...the guy wasnt racing u and had fun watching u do that ish.

Before I had my s/c I never lost a race to any Honda, yes even an S2000 b/c no one can drive them worth chit.
Sorry to inform you but my lugnuts require more torque than your honda makes, and thats the big thing that most foreign imports lack.

A) That lug nut thing is REALLY old. Did you pick that up 10 years ago or what?
B) Your lug nuts require 85-105 lb ft of torque to be within spec. Even the weak *** 1.7l D17 SOHC Honda engine makes more torque then that.
C) If you "never got bear by a Honda before the blower", you obviously never raced anyone who actually modifies their car in any legitimate fashion. Even with all the other mods in your sig, your Auto GT is only going to be pulling 13s. Not exactly "fast" when compared to most of the people I hang around. In fact, that means that you were only racing mildly moded rice boys and near stock S2000s. Bragging about never being beaten while you only run 13s (high 13s at that, if not low 14s, I'm sure) is pretty sad IMO. Hell your slush box GT would be lucky to run mid/high 14s stock.
BTW, i would have gone with the 327s, then again I would never buy a modular V8 Mustang over and Elis Juan F-body unless it came in an 03+ Cobra.

Oh yeah 3:27's are the stock gear ratio and 3:55 or 3:73 are the prime gear with a s/c
Also I wouldnt read any of that C&D type of **** because its not even done on an actual drag strip, its done on a multi purpose track
